The posts you are referring to were pulled for "extenuating circumstances" that Mod 3 has alluded to. I feel the same way you do about posts being pulled. On those particular threads, I myself had given some very heartfelt advice and related a very personal experience that I had once had. I don't reveal the painful things in my past unless I feel that they may be of true help to someone else. It is a hard thing for me to do, but I have commited myself to attempting to help others with the wisdom I have gained through such experiences. It gives them a positive purpose.
I was asked to change my comments in that post. I chose to simply delete them as I felt that anything more would be blatantly dishonest. To be honest, I felt that just deleting them put me in a position of compromising my own personal integrity. However, as I stated there were some extenuating circumstances that I carefully weighed out and felt that doing so would simply be the right thing for those involved.
I have worked hard on these boards to try to represent myself as a person who is not only knowledgeable but who is also quite willing to help when someone is reaching out. Having worked as a professional counselor, I feel the advice I give is heartfelt and sound, although I don't profess to have all the answers. I only hope that the decision that I made today in my deletions has not damaged what I have been working so hard to build. I take full responsibility for my actions in regards to the deletion of my comments.
