MasterFireMaam -> Collarme question and suggestion - staying logged in (1/5/2007 6:33:33 PM)

Question: Lately, I've noticed that I don't stay logged into the forums for more than, say, an hour and I have to login again. It used to be that I stayed logged in for at least 24 hours or until the system had to be reset. Is this new or is most likely some change in my computer? Any ideas how I can fix it if it's me?

Suggestion: A forum designated for questions like this.

Thanks...especially to all the volunteers here. Your work is appreciated!

i dont know anything about computers, but it sounds like you deleted a cookie....i did that once...my friend Jeff recommends for you to reset you cookie parameter settings in windows...

I was going to suggest you call your computer representative, they can usually assist you over the phone and usually..ok...maybe sometimes, help you with a problem...but it looks as if Crouching had a more logical and workable idea...Tempting

I don't know, I'm probably logged in all over the place. As I never log out, and use more than one computer. I rarely have to log in only if I don't use that computer for awhile, but usually, I peek in often enough to never be booted.

Maybe they just rebooted the server or something, and killed your session.

I have that problem every once in a while.

Usually, I can come and go for months on end without having to re-login, but when I do, it keeps logging me out again, within 5 minutes.

I always forget that when I log back in, I have to click that thingy underneath "Remember me," or whatever.

Not sure if that helps....

Yours,

benji
