i'm asking this of the subs and slaves that aren't just labled pets as a term of endearment.  The subs and slaves who live their daily lives as pets to their Masters.  i am still new to this and my Master asked me today to try to find information about others who are pets to their Masters.  Why are you a pet and how does it make you feel. Is it a need for you or do you do it because that's what your Master commanded? i searched thru this forum and was unable to really find anything to answer these questions for me.

i hope i'm making some sense with this question. i'm really interested in your answers and i thank you in advance.

Are you refering to puppy/kitten/animal pets?  Angel is my pet, he is also my baby. I dont know if you are refering to someone like that, or actual animal play.

It's an endearing term he uses, when he equates me to his pet dog.  I love being his pet.

I love being anything he wants of me.  I adore him, and being his pet feels sweet.

I obey him.  I love him.  I am loyal and devoted to him.  He looks at me fondly when he calls me his pet.

Not at all.  You are someone asking questions to understand a given situation more.  It is always good to ask :)

When I was a pet.. oh good memories, I am glad you asked! It has been a long time but the memories are great.

Being his pet means that he makes sure that my mealtimes are correct. I snuggle on his lap when he watches tv. Going for walks in the woods with a leash*puppyplay* on. Fetching. Oh oh being groomed.

A huge amount of physical attention & postive verbal reinforcement.
It was usually after an absence when I was super needy, or after something really really difficult in my RL.

I spent a fair amount of messages back and forth with a man who had a real stable for his slaves as they lived the life of a pony.
He said they liked the notion the no longer had thinking human responsibilities and grooming best.

Hehe, I dunno if it counts, but I adore kneeling beside my Dom and having him stroke my head. *sighs in happiness at the thought*

We're still in the process of figuring out exactly what it means for us.  We've been Master/slave for 4 years now (married 18) but our Daddy/pet phase has only just started this past year while he's been deployed to Iraq.  We've mostly been discussing things over the net, and had his 2 weeks of leave this summer.  He'll be home for good soon and I'm very excited to see where we go.

So far we've played a little bit with some butt plug tails, He really enjoys seeing me wage it for him.   And I have a leash that He has used on me in the past, even before this.  Like others have said before me, it feels really good when He calls me pet.  It always makes me smile, and I always feel very treasured.

Well I'm not a pet but I have a kitten so I can tell you what he does.
When here(not able to be a 24/7 pet) he wears his kitty ears a tail and a furry collar.he crawls around, meows at Me and lays in the sun with My real kitties.he likes to rub on My leg when I'm in the kitchen or just sitting on the couch.
I think the need to be a kitten is partly because it gives him a chance to be close to Me,which I have strict rules about. How does he feel...well he looks like he could burst at the seams and if he smiled any bigger his face would break.
I think hes adorable when he tries to I guess you would call it wagging his tail.
While I enjoy that type of scene,I'm not hardcore into it so he uses the bathroom and eats people food.

I had a submissive that approached Me about being a dog I was okay with it at first...but it was a little more than I was able to accomodate,While I'm somewhat secluded...I cant have people chained up and pooping in the yard. For him it was taking away all the responsabilities of being a person, who works,or cleans house etc.For Me it was like owning a dog which I dont want because I'm not a dog person.

My mistress treats me like her pet almost every waking hour.  For us it is ownership taken to its extreme.  A person can love their pet very much but they still own their pet.  They can show affection for thier animal, but the human commands and the pet obeys.  It is the natural order of things and that is how it is with my mistress and i.  i could never think of myself as being equal to her, and being treated as one of her dogs reinforces that.

i have recently become interested in being a pet...a puppy to be specific. i mean more than just every once in a while. This is what you are talking about, right? Well, there are four reasons that i can think of for why i enjoy doing this.
1) Total Power Exchange - i have no more control, physically or otherwise. i don't make any more decisions. This, in my opinion, is one of the highest levels of submission because the sub has to completely give in to being a pup. they have to give up all control and completely submit. they have to trust that their owner will take care of them.
2) Giving up life's little problems and concerns - i can just let go and be a pup. What do puppies have to worry about? Nothing.
3) Puppies are loved unconditionally.
4) It's just plain fun...sometimes.
