I have been on and off this site a couple of times, but I have never tried the message boards before. I just don't know where exactly I belong. Sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong time and place, a couple of centuries too late. I'm not young anymore (46), and I have kids, and I keep getting mixed reviews on that. Because I have kids, that means following my true nature is out of the question? I am also looking for my one true love, the lord of the castle, whom I will serve and sit at his feet, and he will stroke my long hair. I read some of these profiles, though, and it just confuses me more. Do they really respect their submissive? In my mind, if I'm not respected, its not going to work. I guess I'm just rambling, but I am hoping for guidance. Thank you for reading :)

I suspect you'll get a different perspective trying the message boards here. I'm a newcomer but I can already see that the forums are one of if not the most valuable thing here. IMO, you need to follow your true nature no matter what. Especially if you want to set the example for your kids to do the same. Just make sure you evaluate how it affects them, which obviously you are doing. Wish you the best of luck.

Yes there are folks here who respect submissives. To my mind a dom that does not respect is merely a fool, a player or worse an abuser. For me personally submissive is one of the last things I think about when it comes to selecting a parter. Firstly they must be a genuine person, with hopes, dreams, aspirations, opinions and even fears, should they meet that they must then be a friend (not easy I am very picky about friends), then they could become a lover, and finally once all that is firmly established I will accept and respect their submission.

Um, about the hair thing? Well, I guess it could happen, but the reality of life is that I doubt that most submissives get to sit at Master's feet while he is stroking her hair very often...especially if you have kids (unless the kids are at the grandparents). It's more likely that you'll be working, taking care of the kids, the house and Master.

greetings If I may sugguest, have you considered being involved in a Historical Reenactment Group, on that participate in Renaissance Faires. I have to admit I do feel I was born in the wrong time..and sometimes the wrong planet. I have found alot of enjoyment in my participation with Renaissance Faires and there are alot of BDSM Lifestylers also participating in Renaissance Faires, perhap you will get the best of both?
