I am new to this forum, but your situation is not. It is the oldest story on the books. Married man, keeps single woman on hook.

What you have fallen in love with, is not what your situation IS, but what you wish it COULD be, or was and wish it COULD be again. You are in love with a dream. I was in a similar situation, but neither was married. But its pretty much the same, He wouldn't do/change/ something, and we keep holding on...on the hope that.....(whatever).

My heart aches for you, because I know it is hard to tell when it's time to walk away. It's time, when you are more miserable than happy. Do you think your unhappiness doesn't affect your children? It does, it will, and their whole lives. I suggest you find a support group. Many churches have single parents groups, they may help.

OR.... You could tell your Emotionally Sadistic Dom, you are willing to go poly and you want to move in with him and his wife and all the kids. See how that flies.

Good luck, you are in for a world of hurt.

aslaveflower, MsOpal's first post hit the nail on the head.....this happened to me too, in a vanilla situation. I'd just left my husband and I met a guy online, he told me he was married but was planning to leave her "one day".....I was in a relationship with him for a year, until he found someone else, closer to him (I lived 4 hours drive away). The hurt was incredible, I thought I would never get over it, I grieved for what I thought I had.

That man I met is a serial cheater.....has no intention of leaving his wife, as far as I know he is still with her and we've been broken up for nearly 4 years

MsOpal is right.....I found a loving Man who was single and we have just got married. I have never been happier in my life. Have courage, the relationship you have with this Dom sounds like it is going nowhere.....you deserve so much better *hug*
