Status: offline 		The problem is not just that we are producing gas, from cows or whatever and yep, you can laugh but we are also destroying the natural means of dealing with the gases produced.

Cows farting is a good line for a laugh, however, in Holland there is a serious problem with pig shit which sounds equally funny, until you realise there are barges of the stuff tied up in the docks and no way of dealing with it. Spread it on the land, you poison the land, dump it at sea, you poison the sea.

Funny ain't it?

Biodigesters and things like that.

Alot of the world is really poor at recycling shit.

I was reading of an off-the-grid farmer the other day who runs a dairy farm.  He collects up all his cow shit.  Puts it in a processing doodad.  Throws in some catalyst.  Waits a while.  Fills his modified diesel engine with what comes out and plows his fields.

ExxonMobil doesn't want you to do it, so it ain't happening, despite the rose colored glasses.

I'm sure if there was a solution as simple as that the Dutch would have done it, the boers (farmers) aren't the type of people to let the opportunity to make a few euro pass by.
