i don't know if ALL human puppies get spanked. i get spanked as a pup. i learned quite a few lessons by being spanked. For example....tv remotes aren't chew toys and neither is the crop. Also, puppies aren't supposed to giggle.

Ever since i became J's puppy i have been paying VERY close attention to all dogs. i have a pretty good grasp on how puppies communicate...i just have to do it now.

FootQueen, thanks for the compliment.

Another good source of Puppy slave/play info can be found in homosexual literature. Find a bookstore that sells books geared toward leather or homosexual lifestyles and you can often find something on Puppy Slaves. There are also certain areas that have more information on the Puppy lifestyle. I know there is almost a Puppy community in Texas, but I couldn't tell you where... they should have something online about it.

Also... there are a number of breeds of dogs that don't bark at all. Besinji (I know I got the spelling wrong) dogs don't bark. In 20 years my grandparent's dog never barked once and he was the smartest dog I ever met. I am not a puppy and maybe I am wrong here, but I would think that part of being a puppy is being yourself. If you aren't a vocal puppy, trying to make yourself so just for him might take you further away from your intended head space rather than closer. Just something to think about.

That's what J said too. He doesn't want me to get out of the headspace. He said He wants to try and coax me into barking when i am in that headspace. It's true that barking might not be my personality but if my Dom wants me to bark...i will try and do that. Right now there seems to be a mental block though. i am embarassed and feel very stupid when barking. He doesn't think i sound stupid so i shouldn't worry. i just have to get that through my head now.

Woudl earplugs help? If you can only dimly hear yourself, it might make you less selfconsious. Then when you've got the hang of it to your Owner's satisfaction, and you are used to the feeling of really throwing yourself into a good bark, try it again without the plugs.
