I was just thinking about my own behaviors and wondering if anyone else might feel or behave the same way.

Over the course of my life time I have been involved in several relationships, both men and women, vanilla and kinky. I have noticed after each relationship came to a close that I have adopted some of thier own tastes into my own. I'm the type that will do something that I don't like but my partner might just to please them. I also notice that over time I actually grow to like it. I was wondering if this happens with anyone else.

I haven't known a long term happy relationship where the people involved didn't adopt some of the habits, gestures, figures of speech, sounds or reactions of the other.

As far as doing something you don't want just to please the other- that depends. I've definitely done that in the past, but these days I'm far more inclined to say "Not interested, go find a friend and have a blast with them" unless they want to expose me to something completely new.

I have noticed this myself. Look at it this way, when the Romans assimulated other people they would take what was good about them and add it to being "Roman".
