ORIGINAL: Celeste43 What about riding boots? Try a tack store and see what they have on hand. Otherwise they can order special sizing. Ariat is especially well known for offering English riding boots small, average or tall with narrow, average or wide leg choices. You can get the pull on ones or the ones with a hidden zipper in the back, unnoticable when worn and much easier to get on and off. Not totally flat but a wide heel of about an inch or so. As someone who rides, I'll mention that I had a HELL of a hard time finding knee high riding boots that fit a plus sized girl...even the "wide calf" ones with a zipper I bought had to be altered and were never comfortable to walk in ( could ride in them but literally had to put them on right before I mounted and take them off the minute I hit the ground). That said, I didn't try Ariat...mine were devonaire, so maybe the Ariats are better. I found some really cute knee high vinyl boots from Hot Topic that lace up the back (giving a lot of room for a bigger leg, because you can loosen the laces a LOT). They were $49 originally and I got them on clearance for $23. The heel was a *little* high for me but it was do-able (I'm not good in heels either). This is the only pic I have of them (can't see the lacing in back). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v653/whitemagegoddess/bunnypic2-1.jpg
