I have worked in apartment management for years - from being a leasing consultant to a manager. Frankly, my biggest concerns were that the rent was on time and the apartment was well kept and clean. Anything else was the residents' business as long as it wasn't illegal (ie drugs, prostitution, gambling, etc.).
If you are concerned about your landlord invading your privacy, and you have a right to be, check your lease. As a general rule, landlords must have a legitimate reason (fire, flood, gas leak, etc.), before entering your apartment without your permission. For the most part, landlords really don't want to be "up in their residents private business", unless they absolutely must.
Though I have to admit, as a manager, you do get some interesting letters from neighbors about some residents "intimate habits" and see some interesting things during the semi- annual inspections. lol [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m11.gif[/image] However, to paraphrase the Vegas saying - what gets seen in the apartment, stays in the apartment. I may have been privy to something I shouldn't have, but it didn't mean that it necessarily required any sort of action either.
