Just a bit of a rant and a bit of an observation.... I have been seeing a lot (least it seems to me a lot) of profiles where the person states they are wanting just to serve , and bla bla bla.. on and on about what they want. So just out of curiousness, I'll check their full profile and see what sorts of indepth info they have put in it to help futher with a potental partner desiding whether they might be a good match or not. And there it is..... a starting date on their profile of OVER a year.. makes me wonder .. gosh if they have been here over a year and still have'nt updated their profile.. just how good would the service from this person be?!! I guess I'm just ranting a bit.. We not continue with our regularly scheduled programing.....

Why should they change it to reflect someone they aren't? Better to be alone and wait for the right person then to rush into a relationship with someone whom you cannot make happy and with whom you will be happy.

erm.... the starting date just means that was the date that they first made their first profile that date doesnt change no matter how many updates where made. I was here 4 years befor Master and I met and I rarely changed my profile there was no need nothing changed in what I wanted. Magik's slave

Are you talking about the "Joined" date or the "Last on line" date?

How would you know if they updated it from their original profile anyway. There is no date saying updated xx/xx/xx. You have to think many may have come here with a very clear picture of what they are looking for and won't need to change it. While others like me have refined our profiles when we learn something new about ourselves and what we are looking for. Either way, what is put out there is what we desire at that moment, so it doesn't matter.

I'm going to have to reiterate a few points for you and others. The Date Joined - The date that the person created said profile and that date will NEVER change. Last Online date - That's the last time they logged on and has nothing whatsoever to do with the profile or it's contents. There is no date anywhere on anyone's account or profiles that go hand in hand with the update of the profile. Never has been, and don't think that there will ever be one. This ain't Yahoo. I've been here since 4/2005 and have updated my profile a number of times. Only those that I talk to on a regular basis would have any inkling of what has or has not changed in my profile since I joined. (Aside from myself, of course)

I agree, I have been here for well over 2 years. My profile sums up my views on this lifestyle. It may never change much. Now I update my journal as often as I feel like it. I doubt my views will change much on how I want to live this lifestyle, ever.

I never got the newspaper thing. :( To the OP, you really have no ideal what the circumstances are with these women and to make gross generalizations is a mistake on your part. As many have already pointed out it can be they are waiting for the right one and not just anyone. They could have in fact updated their profile many times and you do not know. Sure there are also plenty of women on here that this represents fantasy type dreaming and are either too afraid to move into real time or have no real intention of doing so. That being said, these are relationships and finding someone and going real time only for it to turn out not to be a match can take time. The people could have met and been involved with a few men looking for the right one during this time. I do not think someone on here for several years as a red flag by itself at all.

Number One .. I NEVER said it was ANY perticular sex doing this. I only said I wonder about them based on how detail oriented they were. And well as to the starting date of the profile and such.. I was actualy speaking of ALL thoses who have in their profile one thing.. say ... that they are seeking a perticular type of somebody and when you do make contact , find out they are all about something else or have been taken or some such .. I again just wonder about... how detail oriented could this person be. After all its their info we are trusting, to inform us.
