ORIGINAL: Real0ne so what qualifies a planet? According to the major astronomy people, it has to be the only significant object in it's orbital trajectory. The problem Pluto has is that it's orbit intersects Neptune's, making it unplanet-like. Sinergy p.s. Im just the messenger. I am the sort of person that if some dude wants me to call him/her/it Napoleon I would simply smile and nod. ah dust bunnies then! i get it! Sounds like someone is thinking! oh wait, i forget we are in an era of bush physics! LOL Not really, I am of the opinion that Pluto should be grandfathered in and accord "planet" status because that is the way it has always been. However, I can also understand a bunch of educated stuffed-shirts deciding that because it does not have certain attributes, it should not be a planet. Sedna cracks me up. But most of the people I have discussed it with dont seem to understand. Sinergy p.s. It cracks me up because it is a lot more of a planet than Pluto is.
