Once ,I had someone actually going to a bank (Nigeria) and ask if they received a bank wire transfer for him.It was quite funny to imagine the imbecile asking at his bank for my check.I told her/him that my name was Doctor Peter Deeck

This problem is the one and only reason I hate the internet. I love talking to people and when I get a message from an unbelievably attractive woman of course I'm going to want to answer it. Now, I just delete anything I get that even remotely looks suspicious. I'm looking forward to hearing from all of you! hehehe Ed

Because of the laws of the countries where the scams originate from lead them to be able to do this in such a grand fashion. Scammers that are on here are the same ones who fill email boxes up with I can get 20,000,000,000 but need an American to help me scam. People still fall for it. The quote “There is a sucker born every minute” comes into play.

the scammers i meet on yahoo IMs these days are using someone else's picture to establish that they are American but "working" in Nigeria. one guy try to pull a fast one saying he's from the UK, living and working in CA but is currently in Nigeria working on this huge "project" for the govt there. problem is he supposedly became "sick" and had no money to visit a doctor. he begged me to send him $150 at first - refused ...then he lowered it to $100 so he could get a loan with promises to pay me back. i told him i would think about it ...then i blocked him.
