I know a few people that do phone sex for a decent living at home.  It's not such a bad gig, and I am thinking about doing it myself for a bit of extra money here and there.  I am not sure I could face that phone everyday doing that, but am trying to keep an open mind.

I looked into this a couple of years ago but then realized that the skeleton would be discovered during my Presidential campaign ...

I'd really like to do more work from home, and already plan to start selling Avon again and get my website/shop up and running. I've sold a few things on ebay, but don't find it to be the most profitable venture. Listing and PayPal fees are insane.

So, I was wondering if anybody knew of any more *good* ways to earn money from home, or mostly home.

There's no such thing as a "work from home" business.

You can have an office at home, but even a web business requires that you meet vendors, sell products, shake hands, etc.

However, there are a million ways to make money, many of them extremely profitable.

Many can be "operated" from home.

We who do.... will we tell? [8D]

Advice: what are your own personal talents? Analyze your past success', education, dreams and in these; you may find your own answer.

I hear all sorts of wonderful nasty things down in the harbor.

I say these to people for a living, attempting to pick fights or be creepy.

I get kicked in the head.

I am not sure what special skill it requires, but most men lack the capacity to lose each and every conflict
they get themselves in to.

Pays the rent.

There are tremendous opportunities to work from home....Many companies in the tech area have no problem and in fact promote the idea....On a single call you can be speaking with people from all over the globe (India primarily)...Can you hear that sucking sound...lol...Jobs being outsourced...It's a new age!

Don't need an office just a fast line and a brain and away you go!

the key to ebay is selling things for other people, the things they themselves don't have time to research and sell.  that way you pass on all the fees to them, do the research on your own time etc.

i've been working from home for the last 5yrs as a technical documentation specialist and now as a concert reviewer. i love the freedom of setting my own hrs and not having to dress in a suit/skirt or wait for public transportation when the weather is bad.  plus it pays the rent and bills.

Not always true.... I run a home based biz....don't shake anyones hand....meet vendors/customers etc. I can make just as much $ sitting here naked with my hair a mess...cigarette hanging from my lip as I could looking the part of a biz man. In fact...I'd LOOSE $$$$ if folks could actually see me in person....lol  Between a phone and the internet it's easy (maybe not "easy"....competition is fierce anymore) to make a GOOD living at home. The hard part is having the drive,smarts,ambition,persistance....to figure out HOW to do it. Lets face it....some folks have what it takes....most don't.

To the OP... Keep at it....if whatever you try fails....back-up...regroup....try something different. Keep knocking on doors and eventually one is gonna open. I tried MANY times to start my own biz....some failed right outta the gate....some I made a few bucks at but never really took off....some were kinda part-time type things and basically didn't ever do squat. Whatever you do you have to end up living it...dreaming it...eating it. Persistance is the key....never give up......it's very doable! Not easy...but it can be done.

PS....I'm sitting here in my shorts and a t-shirt....dicken around on CM....it's 10:00 and I've made $400+ in sales already....yesterday was over 2g+ in sales. I won't tell you what I sell or how I do it so don't ask...I have enough competition as it is... but it can be done...I'm doing it.

LOL! I couldn't figure out what you were saying at all! BUT, then recalled you had said you teach self defense classes! LOL!

See? OP -- I wasn't being sarcastic ( just teasing in the first part) but REALLY -
only YOU know what interests you. Follow your heart.

Home based business is very hard work. All alone, make every decision yourself, take risks, discipline ( not the fun kind)  and you have to keep learning, upgrading your skills. I am very lucky to have the opportunity to build a business of my own. All from scratch. I did the work, study, market research and more. Busted my ass and still do. The big $ isn't here yet. Laying down the foundation and it is going well. If anyone thinks instant mega bucks-- better buy a lottery ticket!

I only write on message boards as a coffee break. You are my water cooler gossip buddies ;)   My dog just doesn't get my jokes :(

As another poster said:  Tech opportunities are out there. Please... if interested, do the leg work. It will not be handed to you, me, anyone on a silver platter ( well, there is one man who I'd hand it to on a platinum plattter, sigh... )

Good luck in your endevours, S.C.
