Ah, the dreaded "a/s/l?".

Those things will come out in the course of a normal conversation, given time.

Unfortunately, in todays world of instant gratification with 5 second microwave burritos, cable on demand, and dial-a-hooker, nobody wants to be patient any more and actually converse with people.

It's a shame really.

Since you only get one chance to make a first impression, make it count. Say hello, see what the conversation is about, and join in. Who knows... the witty, kinky, smart, and funny person of appropriate gender, orientation, and other factors might be next door by net standards!
