Yup, during WW2 there were actually some experiments done with dispersing different types of very fine grain dust and detonating them to create a huge concussion bomb over a city.
Dry ice will make sealed containers explode as it sublimates and expands (great prank)
You can add eggs to the list of things that explode in the microwave with great drama [:'(]
Car batteries will explode if treated with disrespect, and you do not want to be near one when it goes off
Never heard of the flour and hair dye one, tho. i guess the next time i go to the store i'll have to fill out some kind of paperwork explaining that i need four boxes of hair dye because our household is two people with waist-length, prematurely graying hair [8D]
