No your not alone.  Kimba the White Lion was the best :)    Followed by Crusader Rabbit, Beanie and Cecil and of course, Mighty Mouse.

What about such classics (that the rest of them will never have heard of!) as;

The Magic Roundabout - thinly veiled 70s drug themes for 5 year olds!
Mr Benn - definite gay icon
Tizwaz - totally insane - best to be drunk whilst watching

E

edited to add; and Captain Pugwash, which sadly, apparently did not feature characters by the names of Master Bates and Seaman Stains

When I was very young I loved Mister Roger’s Neighborhood and H. R. Puffenstuff (though I was to young to get the drug references).  I live close to the border with Canada so I also enjoyed Mister Dressup and the Friendly, Friendly Giant (look up, look waaaaaaay up).  Looney Tunes on Saturday morning were mandatory of course (laying on your stomach in your pajamas, watching Bugs and co., getting jacked up on over sugared cereal, mom and dad still in bed – was life ever any better?).

As I got a little older I was fanatical about Land of the Lost (Holly was my first crush) and the Six Million Dollar Man (I wonder what that would be in today’s dollars?) I used to drive my parents and my sisters crazy "running" around the house in slow motion while making that sound effect.  Then came The Incredible Hulk (don’t make me angry, you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry) and Wonder Woman.  I loved the things that woman could do with that lasso. In fact, if I hadn’t discovered the Gor books when I was thirteen, I might well have turned out submissive and Lynda Carter would have been the reason.

There were also a bunch of Saturday live action shows.  Banana Splits was great.  Does anyone remember Sigmund and the Sea Monsters or Lidsville (I think that’s what it was called)?

There was also a show about some teens who had a beat up old junker of a car but if you blew the magic horn the car would transform (for a while) into a living car.  I can’t for the life of me remember what it was called. Does anyone remember that one?

ok, call me a geek, i used to rush home from school to catch "Match Game" at 3:30 everyday!  i also loved "James at 15" and "Family"...had a HUGE crush on Kristy McNichol!

Everything that I need to know in life I learned from Bugs Bunny (except the cross dressing thing, the only lesson I learned from that is you do what you HAVE to do... lol)

desertdancer -> RE: Favorite show as a kid (1/18/2007 8:43:40 AM)

...how could I have forgotten G.I. Joe?  I have to hang my head in shame, but I liked Gem too.

ElectraGlide -> RE: Favorite show as a kid (1/18/2007 10:05:26 AM)

SpankmePink, I remember I liked watching the Banana Splits also. There was a show they would show after I can not remember. I think it was called the Double Decker Bus. I think it was English kids in it.
