Anyone else play? I haven't had a chance to yet but the loot my guildies has linked is astounding - greens that look better than my Tier 2 purples.
I play a druid on a PVE server btw.

Yes my sub and I both play on a PVE server, horde side. I can tell you last night sure was frustrating with the server crashing so much! We decided to check out the Blood Elves and we both made pallies. They are ok though the brooms sweeping all over silvermoon reminded me of disney.

We haven't tried the new areas with our 60's yet. I think we will wait a few days and let the newness wear off and hope it wont be so crowded.

I play alliance. It is quite laggy in Hellfire Peninsula. Hopefully the instances won't be too bad but I won't get to check those out till the weekend. Probably a good idea to wait. There are tradeskill trainers who will let you get your tradeskills up to 375 but at least for enchanting/mining it was 10 gold a pop.

I too made a blood elf pally. Every five minutes someone would start a character and say "I feel like Harry Potter with all these broomsticks." hehe. I tried a Draenai shaman too, that place is interesting. The blood elf starting area is more attractive IMO.

And I've got to say - as a former EQ player - Blizzard handled this expansion better than any EQ expansion ever. Our server went down too last night, but it didn't stay down long. At least one EQ expansion resulted in more than 36 hrs of downtime. Plus, it seemed like you had to upgrade your PC every other expansion :(

Lashra! I have realised by now, that youre a pretty incredible lady, but I confess that I never had you down as someone who would be playing WoW!

I dont play, though my eldest UM does, although he's more into Warhammer 40k right now, which I dont understand in the slightest! So, I'm trying to get him to do the ordinary Warhammer (dwarves/elves/goblins/monsters etc), which at least makes more sense to me as an ex (big confession coming up.....) D&D player.

Whats funny is, my dad was so suspicious when I used to go off in my teens to play "fantasy role playing games"......... if he only knew what games I play now! (No dice required)

Oh yeah LadyEllen I am a hardcore gamer gal. I've played everything from diablo to Everquest I, Star Wars Galaxies and one of my all time favorites...Castle Wolfenstein.
hehe

In fact I met my sub on Star Wars Galaxies. It just goes to show you that you can meet that special someone just about anywhere.

I played EQ I for a long time and yes I have to agree with you, Blizzard handled this expansion alot better than they would have.

You know, my UM brought the Warhammer magazine over and there were photos of the UK convention from 06 in it.

There must been two thousand people in most of the shots - and I could only spot one woman (and she seemed to be a mom there with her kids!).

You might be on to something Lashra!

Never tried Warcraft, but am a serious Never Winter Nights junkie. I always play a druid who is true neutral.

Aye, i play WoW  - sometimes.  Not enough of what Master wishes i would, but WoW is a time consuming game.  I play an elf druid i think?  God knows, i just complete the quests.

Master got the burning crusade as of yesterday and i think he's inlove?  But then he's been a lvl 60 pali for ages now and sick of running MC and the other runs.  i'm leveling slooooooooooooow.  (hehehehhehehe) so i'm not getting the burning crusade.  Except its coming to my house and Master wants me to jump on another charactor on another account thats a lvl 60 pali and play.

Personally WoW = crack and it amazes me that people can literally LIVE on the game.  Completely disgusting that people literally make WoW their world.

but whatever, i can play along until the damn game goes down the tubes.  As it will because nothing lasts forever.  In the mean time, i'll sit here and look down in disgust at those who make the game their life.

Can you guys imagine that people actually spend their money to buy "gold" for the game?  Oh good lord....
It'd be hiliarious if some one haxed in and shut it all down.. people all over the world would be going through w/d

ha!

I play on scilla and haven't had any lag.  I have had 2 or 3 random disconnects though.  I've been playing a lot recently, but recovering from acute broncitis/atelectasis has given me quite a bit of freetime : (

I played on Sunrunner as a bounty hunter for a long time then I got bored with hunting down and killing jedi, so I became a dark jedi. After Sony made the changes where anyone could be a jedi straight out of the box I quit the game. To me it had been totally ruined, particulary since I spent a year working to become a jedi.

All online games seem to have an addictive quality to them and the people who make them KNOW this. In fact I knew a guy who played Everquest who called in sick so much so he could stay home and go on raids with his guild that he got fired from his job. He refused to go back to work! He and his wife ended up loosening their home and their car. It's sad but it does happen.

I play a couple hours each night with my sub, its what we do to unwind from the day. I've got 2 level 60's and a couple of lower levels. Right now we are trying out the Blood elves and they are ok. I prefer my Orc Shaman who is enhanced specced. I LOVE to PVP so she's perfect for it.

I know alot of people that buy gold, I've never done it and I won't. But in WoW to make any money you have to farm constantly or go on alot of raids and hope that you win. Sometimes I wonder about the gold sales, as its against Blizzard policy and yet you get in game mails from them all the time advertising their services. Plus they spam general chat with their website. Makes you wonder if maybe some employee isn't making a nice profit.

I play a resto (tree) druid alliance on Skywall (PVE). We are having queue times which is a pain. My other lvl 60 is a hunter (my very first WoW character).
PVP in WoW is so much fun. I am looking to pair up with a rogue and do some of the new arena battles eventually.

Some of my guildies have replaced blues and purples with greens and blues they have gotten in TBC. I only have a new feral weapon.

I used to play a Vah Shir beastlord on Lanys (RIP) in EQ 1. In EQ there were raids that literally lasted 8 or 9 hours, sometimes as many as 13. Life is for much more. I couldn't do that, and that's one thing I love about WoW. I can actually achieve something if I only have 30 mins to play.
I won't buy gold either. The thought of folks farming 5k gold for the elite flying mounts is insane to me.

Was an Everquest addict for years until WoW was released on beta.  Played and was intantly hooked.  Not too sure how I feel about my new bloodelf.  She better have something better to offer than her looks.  The mana tap is nice but as a hunter I do not know that this is going to be vital to me.  I was having problems running OOM there for  a while but then I repspect and that seemed to take care of it, that and master just sends me all kinds of mana potions.  :)  Who knows...*shrug*  It is nice to play another race for a bit but I really do love the way my sheorc looks.  Someone told me once she was so nasty looking cuz she looked so "feral".  lol...thats what I love about her look.  If the BE doesn't give me something more than the mana tap for abilities...I will just go back to Raage!!

For the Horde!!
