What's the dumbest/funniest newbie mistake you made when you first got into this lifestyle?
I'm pretty new, so I don't really have any stupid stories yet... but hmm. Attempting to wax down there by myself was rather dumb. It left some pretty unattractive and painful marks that lasted weeks! So what are a few of your stories?

Status: offline 		What the hell does waxing your bikini line have to do with the lifestyle? So far as I knew there were tons of vanillas out there that did it just to look good or be neat. Not to bash I just don't see the asosciation.

Status: offline 		Well probably she was doing it as a submissive act. Shaving/waxing isn't an inherently submissive act, but then no act is inherently dominant or submissive.

I did ALLLLLLL the dorky mistakes as a novice :) I even found myself on the phone blissed out as a man told me he would mail me different colored silks in return for the "levels of training" I was on...which somehow equated to how much phone sex and how often I said "yes sir" to him. Wow, thank god we only had the one conversation.

Status: offline 		Being kinky with someone I knew better than to be kinky with. She earned the name Chew Toy and ended up becoming my cousin in law. But at the time she and he didn't know each other but was friends with my sister, was the sister of a girl I had broken up with but was still friends, and was doing a few kinky things with another friend of mine. We where alone during spring break and decided to watch a movie at my place together. Nuff said. I'm sure you can figure the rest out.

Status: offline 		The stupidist mistake I made, was falling in love with my Mentor.. yikes. I found out a Mentor is for learning ... not for living happily ever after with. And I learned alot..'still am.

Status: offline 		The one that comes to mind is the mistake of buying sex shop BDSM toys, like quick release handcuffs. In the middle of the first session with a new sub, only my 3rd sub, when her hands were meant to be handcuffed around the brass bed head behind her head while I jumped her bones (after some prelims), I found her grinning from ear to ear as she calmly ruffled my hair with her freed hands. It took me about 30 seconds to register it. They literally fell off, she didn't do it herself.

Status: offline 		Heh... I was just about to jump off and into bed. Some crazy Mary Kay woman keeps pestering me about getting a facial. I keep trying to tell her I don't want one!! Ewww... But then I remember she's talking about skin care. Whoops. So to get the monkey off my back I'm letting her come over to the house briefly tomorrow (edit: later today! grr) before I have to go to work so she can pamper (smother) my face with her cosmetic junk.

Arg.

Then I get to go work out and help others work out at the all ladies gym I work at so at least I have a reason to wash off that stuff from my face.

yes it was a submissive act... thanks for pointing that out. Master was there making sure I did it. Only got about 3 rips before we both bagged it.

Status: offline 		there's just ONE i have to pick? lol i'm still in my first year and still making mistakes, i think.

however, i think the stupidest thing i did that i managed to learn from (after my hair grew back) was unintentionally provide verbal challenge to the Dom i was submitting to at the time, during a public function. didn't mean to, no excuse, though. still, with how quickly i was yanked backwards by my hair while i was wearing 4-inch stilletto sandals, it's a wonder i didn't land on my ass. luckily, it's one of those mental pictures i can replay in my head for self-deprecating giggles. i can only hope to god i know better now. lol

Status: offline 		After being a bottom for awhile, it was a needed progression to search out a D/s relationship....So I met a Dominant on those terms....kind of shoved up against him in a Mae West tone and said, "why dont you come up and see my sometime big boy" and popped his ass with a towel....

Lesson: Do not pop a Dom on the ass with a towel using a Mae West tone or any tone (smile) or you will soon get a lesson in respect...

Status: offline 		I've always done relatively safe things because I'd want to undertake the things I consider risky under the watchful eye of a Mentor type person.

But I did do something semi-stupid when I was in a porn shop with a submissive I'd been working with for a while. I honestly didn't mean to break out the impromptu CBT... but he was asking for it.

I went to slap his behind but he bent over about the same time my hand came down. Why he spread his legs I'll never know. How he manged to stay standing I'll never know!

Status: offline 		My old girlfriend came to visit me in college so she stayed in my room. One night she had me wearing her underware handcuffed to the bed. She was only wearing a strap on. Then my roomate walked in. Saw everything. Not really stupid but more just embarrasing.

Don't worry, my roomate and I are still friends... we laugh about it now.
