I refuse to consider someone named after a small, slimy amphibian. :)

The French joke is getting old, ok?

LOL benji.

Q: Why do French naval ships have glass bottoms?
A: To see all their other ships.

We're talking about running him for President, Benji, not cooking him in garlic and butter and pronouncing disgusting things edible.

Just pick a name out of a hat. Couldn't be worse than the present incumbent.

No wonder we Canadians can't make heads or tails of your politics down there. Everyone knows Red is Liberal (Democrat) and Blue is Conservative (Republican). If you can't even get the colours straight what chance do you have of making the right... er... correct choices?

LMAO

luckydog1 -> RE: And in the Red corner... (1/18/2007 7:35:58 PM)

Wikipedia says it was CBS pushing for the red blue switch.  CBS had been using red for Republicans since the 80s, as opposed to everyone else.  Even in 96 most media used Red for Democrats and Blue for Republicans, which does make more sense.   Was it a plot?  " Some conservatives have suggested that left-leaning media outlets chose to switch the colors because using red for the Democrats would reinforce the perception that they are sympathetic towards communism and socialism. However, in the United States the word "blue collar" is applied to working people and may be associated with organized labor, which is generally supportive of the Democratic Party."   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_state_vs._blue_state_divide#Origins_of_current_color_scheme

bandit25 -> RE: And in the Red corner... (1/18/2007 7:45:26 PM)

Why would anyone use wikipedia as a source for anything?

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?  DEMOCRATS ARE A BUNCH OF ASSES AND REPUBLICANS ARE A BUNCH OF SLOW-FOOTED PEOPLE WHO TAKE YEARS TO GET ANYTHING DONE AND NEED A NOSE JOB, STAT.
