I wonder if any of the mods might do a little digging and ask why lag time for profile/journal approvals is so very long. I know we all get busy etc.. but i have to admit, the wait time lately has been a little silly.

I've even emailed to offer some volounteer time to help out with the problem, but even that email seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

like Pink Floyd says... is there anybody out there?

On the same subject, have the approval critera suddenly changed?

I used to be allowed to post conversations I had with people and e-mail I receieved as long as I changed the handle used. (I always do, no matter what anyway.) All of a sudden, entries that invovle conversations are left to sit in my journal and aren't approved.

I don't ever post handles, and I used to be able to do this. What changed?

hmmm that must explain why my journal entry has been sitting since the 24th, I had my trainers cm handle in it. I didnt know the rule. Still tho, I agree, approval time is a bit long. I'll remove His handle and see how long it takes THIS time...taps fingers on keyboard.

I think maybe they are just overwhelmed right now with all the new members coming in from other sites.

You are probably right proudsub...

I've suggested this in another thread, and i'll mention it here too..

Why not just have a "report abuse" button and let all journal entries be posted immediately? It's not a new idea, and many other sites are using this process.

If journals were excluded from the backlog, i'm sure we'd not be having this problem, influx or not.

Anyone steering this ship?

Unless something has changed recently, journal entries get approved after the profile approvals are completed.

Glad to see it's not just me. There's this rather cute in-state girl I've been wanting to read the profile of for about a week now, profile is still showing up as not approved.

Odd.
