BDSM play is only sexual when it involves a large bucket of chicken from KFC. At least that was what I read in this month's issue of "Ground Control to Major Dom"

Gauge, as ever you are a source of inspiration to me!

Now to write new lyrics to the Bowie song.......!

*Shakes head* That's unsolicited humor in the "Polls and Random Stupidity" Section, you two. Not cool. For that, you both get a banana. [sm=banana.gif][sm=banana.gif]

It's a question where the answer is both yes and no, depending on the one answering.

For me, personally, no it is not sexual.  I get no sexual pleasure from any aspect of my play.

Receiving physical pain play causes a "runner's high" for me and/or relaxation of the sort a good massage gives, I don't get turned on or any sexual stimulation from it.  The opposite is true:  when indulging in my masochism any sexual contact is absolutely repulsive to me.

Topping someone else is the same, I can enjoy the control and the creativity involved in alterring their sensations and mindstate, but there is no sexual stimulation from it for me.  Again, it is the opposite; I am turned off utterly.

For me, BDSM activities are an expression of my personality and a hobby, depending on what aspect is being addressed.  It's one of the few parts of my life that doesn't turn me on.

speaking only for myself; no, there is nothing sexual about it at all

hmmmmmmmmm... I've been 'around' for about 4 years now...and have played with a handfull or two of very experienced people.  I'm not at all comfortable with having sex with that many people, but find the Power Exchange is a delight.  I also learn a lot.

Sure...play IS more fun when sex is not excluded; but, in that I don't want to be that sexually active...I like that I can still experience BDSM, submission, the exchange of power, etc...with out it being included.

(yeah, and I still choke on the word 'slut')  LOL

just me,
b
