Status: offline 		I am putting this in Random Stupidity before the usual people attack me and the moderator puts it in Random Stupidity. This is no question just a observation I want to share. I work in a factory with 150 people only 10 of them are female. Do I need to explain any further. These guys are foaming at the mouth gathering around these ladies like a pack of wild dogs in heat. Of course the guys are married with a housefull of kids, but I guess that dont matter to them. A few of us with common sense enough to not drool omn these ladies shoes call them the pervert patrol and make asses out of them. I am a 6 foot 2 grizzley bear so they do not do a dam thing about it. Some of the ladies enjoy the attention, a couple keep claiming they are going to claim sexual harrasment but never do. One lady was a 21 year old heroin addict telling these jokes she liked older guys. Some of these 50 something year old goats were ready to dump their wives in a heartbeat.

Status: offline 		It cracks me up in a way. Just think these creeps have wives at home. They have no honor in my book. They have no professional courtesy sniffing around like they do. I yell at them when we are busy and the longer they do nothing while sniffing and holding up a lady, that should have the sense to say beat it I have work to do, the longer I am there.

Status: offline 		It is not unusual to see such behaviour.

I used to work in the construction field. Engineering office, AutoCAD Draftsman, there were no women in the field, in the office I worked in there were twelve computer stations and 10 were filled, the boss hired two females, one was very attractive and the other not very, in fact, most would have woofed had they seen her outside the place. Yet, both the women got lots of attention from the men in the place. The younger more attractive one actually was put off by it and quit, but the other ate it up and did more than that, she dated many of the men even though they were married.

At another company I worked for, the field crew hired a woman and because of the attention she got it actually resulted in her death. Men were too busy paying attention to her and not to her safety equipment, and when she got bumped she fell 30 stories to her death. Not one man there had not had his safety equipment double checked everyday, but the woman had been missed because the men were too busy oggling her.

It is a shame that men are that way, but it will always be that way. Most men are dogs, they will act like dogs and like all women are in heat. I have been attracted to others but I have not failed at my job in order to act like a fool.

I do not let my hormones think for me, and will never do that, though I have been accused of it.

Status: offline 		Here is the deal, men with wifes or girlfriends need the extra attention because of the low self esteem they have about themselfes... Same thing with women who are marrierd....

Status: offline 		No I am not into the guys I work with lol. I ask a few dogs I work with if I could bang their wives because they are open about their cheating. They do not like that lol. A few guys make excuses about their wives such as they have health issues or give them no attention. So I guess they think they are in the right. For the record I would not touch their wives I have honor. I do not mess with another mans lady. I can only wonder what kind of STDs these clowns take home to their wives.

Status: offline 		Sounds like typical office behavior to me.  That is until these woman clain sexual harassment.  Personally, I would stay clear of it and wouldn't even think about it.

Status: offline 		They could use condoms but these idiots do not use their brains. Condoms are not 100 percent effective either. They can get crotch crickets [ crabs ] and the condom will not help them there either.

Status: offline 		Whats new EG? Its only by way of personal discipline that you dont do the same as the others. Its not that these guys are defective or wrong - in fact theyre entirely following nature, its just that they lack what you have developed I presume through the other circumstances in your life that youve mentioned previously.

I own and run my company, but if we get male clients and/or suppliers visit us, they assume I'm the clerk and (I can see it, in their eyes) rate me on looks, body etc whilst they talk to the ops manager working for me. It can be fun, when they learn with whom they must deal, and to give them the odd flash of leg now and then in the negotiations if I happen to be wearing a skirt! (Which isnt often, since my legs are so good that no work would be accomplished at all, were they on view every day....... shame about the face though LOL!)

Status: offline 		I have mostly male employees with 3 ladies that work in my office. I know exactly what you are talking about. I however have told them do not be rude to the ladies in the office after all they are the ones who enter the data into the computer for your paycheck, they print your paycheck and I sign it. So be nice.... I haven't had any problems with them since.

Status: offline 		If they all like what they are doing the men and women.  There is no amount of whining you are going to do to make it stop happening.
It won't happen until one of the females actually does not like what is going on and files formal charges.
They dis-respect their wives, it doesn't mean you have to.

If you like them that much it works you up like this.  Take the chance, ask one of them out on a date.

Status: offline 		Sub4hire I am not whining I was telling of an observation. I have dated women I have worked with. I wait and see how they are first, I dont jump all over them from the get go. If they are an idiot letting these pigs drool all over them and holding their work up, I have no interest in them. I was trying to get different view points also. Some supervisors and office people are dogs also. These are somebody spouses acting like kids at summer camp. These are some bodys parents. I work alot of 70 hour weeks I am not complaining it does my bank account good. These deusche bags give me a good reason to vent frustrations on. I do not do it behind their back either, I ask them what the hell is wrong with them to their face. I do it on lunch so I am not holding up work. I might yell at them blasting by on a fork truck at work, and then I get about 10 other people laughing at my antics. We need a laugh at work to get through.

Status: offline 		I've always had a self imposed law I put on myself.  Don't fraternize with the employee's.  It works wonderfully.  There are a great many people in the world, we certainly don't need the people we work with to hang out with.
Down the road if either person has any real goals it is only going to cause major issues.
I've also worked in male dominated professions.  I've seen the sexual harassement.  What has always worked for me the best (I'm not recommending it to anyone) is you harass back.  Generally the men become subdued quite quickly.
Whole demeanors change. 

However, these women and men are loving their work environment from the way it sounds.  It does no good to bitch and complain about them even to them.  Think they are going to change when they are enjoying themselves?  What purpose would it serve?
Whether they are lower life forms to you or not, telling them so isn't going to make them change either.
Unless you are their supervisor and can start letting people go, your hands are tied.
You are only going to create more animosity towards you the longer you complain to people who don't want to hear it.
I personally don't feel harassement belongs in the workplace either but I can do nothing to stop it.
In reality I have found that as long as people are not complaining they are usually more productive when doing so.
Good hearted fun they call it.  It is hurting nobody.
