ROSES IN THE SNOW
My life may be filled with sorrow. It may be filled with pain. But I have heard the thunder. I have walked out in the rain.
I have felt the sun upon Me. I have seen the clouds pass by. I have knelt upon the grass of spring. I have laughed and I have cried.
I have held the hand of a small child. I have watched a loved one die. I have dreamed of being loved so long. I have been loved I can't deny.
I have felt the joy of childbirth, along with its bitter pain. I have felt the crashing loss of death and still I do remain.
I have lived a life that has been full. I have done so many things. I have endured many bitter winters. I have welcomed each new spring.
I have breathed the air of freedom. I have served as though a slave. I have taken gifts which were offered Me, and so many I have gave.
I have held the crying in My arms. I have been held too many times. I have kissed away the tears with whispers of "I'm so glad you are Mine".
I have ran through fields of clover. I have smelled the roses bloom. I have opened up my life and heart when there was little room.
Yes I have done so many things. I have lived a life that's long. I hope I have made a difference. My life has been good and hard and strong.
My life has been filled with peril. I have taken chances galore. I am sure I will do it all again. Who knows what is left in store?
When I close My eyes at night, right before I go to sleep. I pray a simple prayer for you. Memories of you in my heart I keep.
I pray that your life will be long. That you will live a long and happy life. That you will never feel the pain I have. That you will never have to endure strife.
You see, I have seen all types of miracles. I have been blessed beyond belief. Because I finally did find you. You've offered sweet relief.
I've lived a life that has been full of lonely nights and days. And just when I had given up, you finally passed My way.
It's taken all My troubles. It's taken all my joys. Its taken every small event, to strengthen Me, not destroy.
Now here you are in my life as I am like a flower in full bloom. My spring has passed and fall is here. You sure didn't come too soon.
As I place My hand in yours, as I look into your face. I realize My life's with You. Your love can't be replaced.
Wherever we may travel, wherever we may go, I smile because if you are the solid ground I walk on, I am your roses in the snow.
