I haven't read the whole thread but saw David Icke's name mentioned at the top - will read the rest of it after this post. About 2 months ago, I watched a documentary about David Icke which followed him in his every day life and basically gave his side of the story on all the media coverage sourrounding him (it was screened on Channel 4). Icke claims he was completely and utterly set up and deliberately misrepresented. Most of the stuff credited to him never came out of his mouth - according to Icke. Always good to hear two sides of any story. Plus, our tabloids are lucky to be termed newspapers as they will write any old nonsense so I'm not falling over myself to believe them. Now, I know for a fact that Icke claimed he was the son of god. I saw it with my own eyes. Icke's defence is he was struggling with a lot of issues in his life and things got on top of him - it may sound weak, I say give the bloke the benefit of the doubt. The key point relating to this is he does not believe he is the son of god. Anyway, the point of this post is this: based on the documentary, he's just a normal bloke living a normal life. He has an opinion and it centres around an illuminati running the world. Frankly, I have no idea how he's arrived at this conclusion but I certainly wouldn't dismiss him as mad. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that the top men in powerful countries have a behind the scenes chat on the best way to keep hold of their power. It's simply court intrigue on a global scale - since court intrigue is as old as the hills and globalisation is as plain as day then it doesn't seem particularly extraordinary.
