Chopsticks are great! The rubber bands one uses to make a clamp of a pair of chopsticks are fun on their own, too--either binding or snapping against the skin. Skewers are nice and versatile as well. Clips and clamps of many varieties and sizes are found in my bag.

Like Michael, I'm not fond of floggers. I have a few. I don't remember when I used one last. For percussion, I prefer canes and batons. Cooking chopsticks make inexpensive canes, if budget is a concern, but good rattan canes aren't all that costly. Paddle-like devices are nice, too. Again, for bargains, buy rice paddles and wooden hairbrushes. Some unusual impact "pervertables" in my bag: a fan belt, a length of coaxial cable, a shower curtain rod, a flogger made of coated wire.

I like my TENS-style electrical unit. If that's an appealing idea, buy an inexpensive one (around $100) to see whether you like it. If you're locally active, you could seek out someone who already owns one and ask for a demo, and then buy a higher grade unit if the toy works for you.

If you lack a set of leather cuffs or several lengths of nice rope, either (or both) would be a suitable addition if bondage is a favorite of yours.

I agree with LA: tailor your toybag to the types of scenes you do, or the type of scene you're doing at a particular time. Buying a bunch of big percussive implements isn't wise if your scenes are chiefly bondage and tease-and-denial, naturally.

Oh, and BalletBob: I'd say that DiurnalVampire's anecdote clearly demonstrates her partner's submissiveness. He doesn't like most of her toys, but he consents to her using them on him because that's what she likes. It's sweet.

And at least one very well sharpened knife...for cutting rope, for removing plastic wrap...and for knife play, of course.

I recommend a Rescue Hook for cutting rope quickly and bandage scissors for plastic/vet wrap. Using a knife in either case runs the risk of cutting the person. Of course, when in a controlled scene, that risk might be the point, but if you're rescuing, you want them out as quick and safely as possible.

Don't forget the pevertables.  BBQ grill brush comes to mind as one of my favorites.  Leaves little pinhole marks that seep blood and it is great for exfoliation  *eg*

*winks at ownedgirlie*  I know you like hearing about that particular toy!

That BBQ brush thing sounds like mutilation to me.

My favorite is the remote control electric collar.

What about it makes you think of mutilation?

Hi MasterFireMaam. I am sorry if it sounded as I as making fun of anyone, because I never would. That is why there are so mant different tastes here on Collarme. If not, it would be very boring. I was just trying to make a light conversation, and not bashing anyone. I am sure there are a lot of people that don't like some of the things I don't, but that doesn't bother me, as I don't bother them.

Sincerly, Sub BalletBob

Well I tried to do a good deed. In that case I think I will have to go back to my original idea of reorganizing the bag and accidently hiding the damned things in an unpaired sock that gets zipped inside one of the empty suitcases stored under the bed.

I should get extra credit for straightening out the ropes in the bag, maybe enough that he won't notice what's missing.

Wow, that would earn me a beating I would never forget!

Good luck with that!

To the OP, as for me favorites, it is so hard to decide!  In my toy bag at the moment,  I have several crops, a flicker whip, several floggers, a variety of nipple clamps, rope, tigerbalm, purell, candles and a large knife.

I think my favorites at the moment are my little clamps with bells on the ends and my fuzzy bunny (a flogger with thick falls of heavy suede and rabbit fur).  It sounds soft and sensual and it can be, but it can also leave delicious marks depending on how it is wielded)

Our toy bag contains 2 kinds of nipple suckers, two floggs, many many feet of rope, lube, a couple of vibes, clamps and clothespins, and a bottle of peppermint oil.   And yes pet does enjoy each of them when properly applied.

I am intrigued by those who do not like to use floggers, if you care to share.  My Master has several, and it's all in the wrist for him providing whatever controlled impact he wishes.  It relaxes him to use them...to hear how the various ones sound and feel dropping down on me, and the marks they leave, and the responses I give.  I know everyone has their preferences but I am curious why some are adamantly opposed to them?

Now if it were a BBQ brush I'd understand................

WOW lets see I have a few different "bags" I have a percussion box, a fire box and a blood and sharps box, There are a few things in the percussion box that are sharp as well but I don't generally break skin with them.

Percussion box: It's gotta have 6-8 floggers of various types, 2 singletails, 3-4 canes, Sjambok, cuffs (several types and sizes)
Clothespins several dozen, blindfolds, crops, Oh and a wrist rocket with rubber porcupine ball ammo, along with a few other items, and yet I find myself playing more and more with just my hands with search gloves on.

Fire kit has all the stuff for body transfer fireplay, cupping, and a few ways of applying the fire, a pencil torch and probes for "devil's fire", Sparklers, several magicians tools for fire tricks, adding in a perfume atomizer soon, and all the safety gear incase the playspace doesn't have it all.

The Sharps Kit has scaples, hypodermic needles, a straight razor, Various cleaning and sterilization items, a tarp (plastic disposable) accupuncture needles, lancets, corks and rubber tips, gloves latex and nitril.etc.

OK So I'm a toy whore, LOL

I consider myself to be a bit of a minimalist, but my full kit consists of:

Basics:
Large light colored towel (used as a flogger wrap, plus as a lay out drape for the tools-makes things easier to see)
Flashlight- one on my person, one in the bag
EMT sissors for emergancy cutting (if you tried to use a rescue hook on something wrapped around a throat, you might do more damage)
a 'Leatherman' (I pack a gerber multi-tool)
mini first aid kit
lots of alcohol wipes, for first aid and tool cleaning
sewing kit ( I play rough, and clothing sometimes get torn...)

Whip bag-
8ft bullwhip
6ft snakewhip
extra falls and poppers ( I use a dante style end so they can be quick changed for hygenie and impact effect)

Floggers
one large heavy elkhide
two matched nylon knotted
meduim rawhide
small vinyal
meduim elkhide
small elkhide

 Misc impact
two crops
delrin cane
natural cane
'legree' or 'dragon tail'

Asortted clamps
cheap 1/4 or 5/16 rope, cut to 1 50, 1 25, 1 12.5, 2 6ft lentghs
BIG sharp knife
little sharp knife
cuffs, collars chains and trigger clips, panic snaps etc

OMG this is great!  I thought I had every toy known to man (but then, I haven't shopped for anything in a number years) but this is both ingenious and hilarious.

Now I have to go shop for a rubber chicken.

Too funny.  Thanks for sharing this.

I stopped dragging toys to functions a long time ago.  I got spoiled once I started keeping my own dungeon, prefering to play with anything I might need close at hand and in the spot where I left it; dragging toys out just got to be too much trouble.

Now, unless I'm taking a road trip in which I intend to play, I just snug my 4' murphy signal whip into my purse.  If I am taking a road trip then I try to minimize the bag to what I might want to play with and that will often be as dependent on who I am going to play with as my own personal preferences.

I like sharps play and usually have a few needles, sutures, scalpels, alcohol and betadine swabs, sharps container, liquid skin, bandages/ aids, tegaderm, antibacterial ointment, rubber gloves, bandage scissors and the like with me.

I'm also fond of electrical play and sometimes take both psg-max boxes with all my attachments (cock rings, soft rings, probe, plug, clamps, etc) and my modified version of an electric flyswatter (it fits into those tight spots that are hard to reach with a big racket head).  Sometimes I'll take the violet wand and some pieces of tinsel based christmas garland.  My wand is antique and a bit fragile so I don't travel with it often.

If a bag is going there will be various assortments of rope.  I usually keep them daisy chained (crotchet enthusiasts will know this as a 'granny stitch') for storage as it keeps them from getting tangled and I always know where the middle is.  Opening them is as simple as pulling the last knot back through the hole and pulling the two ends apart.

I have a lot of tongue forceps/ hemostats and they are vicious.  If I'm taking a bag I usually take some of those as well.

Floggers I usually take an assortment of.  Honestly, I don't have a lot of light floggers and whips.  Medium to extreme is how most would classify them.  Other percussions instruments might include crops, canes, paddles (I really like the spiked ones but they can be messy and not necessarily for public play) rods, slappers, etc.  A friend made a paddle for me out of drift wood that is light as a feather and stings like a M!@!*#  F*@$*#$.

My hat's off to those that travel with wax.  Messy!  I do keep a parafin hand bath at home and use that for most wax play.

If someone else is carrying my bag I may take weights.  I think I've come back around to it depends on who I'm playing with and what I think I'll want to do.

Potty mouth.

(I would NEVER use "M!@!*#  F*@$*#$" unless I was prepared to back it up!)

(Okay...I might...)

However...allow me to add....the long and short of it is....

Out of all our toys, my favorites are the leather flogger, anything restraining (rope, bondage tape, cuffs), and the gorgeous dagger we have.... and of course, His hand. :)  We have a little tool that looks a bit like a spur that is a lot of fun, can't remember what it's called.
