I think it's like a love hate relationship.....they want us, but yet they want to think they have some control over us by trying to make us "jump" at their comments, wo that they think they will be able to sit back, one hand on keyboard and fantasize they are making the dommes jump on command, but that's just my opinion. Amazingly enough, I get suprised at the vitriol that some of the regular males spout, rallying behind the troublemaker, but spout all the time how much they would love to serve us, then in another post, whine about how there are no dominant females interested in them.

First of all, most of these people are complete cowards who would
never have the juevos to say any of those comments to a Domina's face. 
And like DiurnalVampire and littlesarbonn mentioned, they
seek attention of any kind, even if it is negative.
 
Their motivation stems from insecurity, low self-esteem,
jealousy and the inability to form adult relationships with
anything other than a blow-up doll (or inflatable sheep).

Honestly? It's why I left the boards for the last couple of months. I got tired of the constant posts that seemed to have no goal but to start flame wars rather than seeking to actually start intellectual discourse.

Seems things haven't changed much if you're asking this.

My thought on all of it is to simply ignore it as best I can.  Lately I have come to the forums and found very little if any reason to post.  I have done a lot of reading but that is it.  In my opinion it has not just been here that this is happening.  Folks just seem to be rather combative lately.  Combat disguised as debate is still just combat, solves nothing and just reduces all involved to infintile brats.

Maybe it is the time of the year.  Folks get very grumpy this time of year.  Bills are still not payed from the holiday glutteny, we are not exposed to nearly enough sun and folks all over the place are disgusted with themselves for breaking new years resolutions. 

Like anything else though, this too shall pass and the forums will be a nice place to visit again with helpfulness abound!!

I just kinda try to ingore the ignorant fools. Unless of course I am feeling fiesty and want to poke them with sharp sticks.

I figure its kinda like the way less than rich people treat those that are really rich. Talking trash, enjoying their every fault and trip up, cuz they really want to BE them, or at least hang out with them. They just know it ain't gonna happen so instead they have to try and drag them down to their level. Insecurities, jealousy, whatever it is..........it's no skin off my arse.

you must expect all kinds to come on to you ,especially,because: all  dominant women (cross-culturally,around the world) will always get problems ;(even wearing leather!)it's the way men and boys (males) have been raised ;mostly wrong.i have to apologize,now, so much for being male; i would never have changed my sex, if i knew losing my sexual identity was more ofensive to myself ;my gender and a goddess than ,not...., so...,outside my own issues....
people, also feel much more comfortable or brave, on the internet, and, say what they can never say or have the opportunity to say in person.
when you get upset, just treat them as bad children and ,the communication changes in your favor ,when it's no longer adult /adult conversation ;and ,it becomes an adult/child conversation- they have to figure they are in trouble ,otherwise: , at the risk of being crude ;fact is you are a lady of considerable good looks;daring to be who you are is what you have to contend w/ for the rest of your life;i used to get an adverage of 3 remarks,of sexual harrassment , per day, in college ,and it boiled my blood !!!;
generally speaking:think of human-species, as a naturally gregarious species , not unlike the gregarious species of  'a pack of wolves'.
look ,for a leader who is desirable ;one who can be as much a slave leader ,as you are a top leader....therefore;equal in dominance and image,to yours ! ....
,or expect ,that you and your image will be challenged.

i guess it all depends on your definition of 'stirring up trouble'. what one person deems as 'trouble', another deems as 'logic'; that's when it turns into an emotionally reactive, name slinging, free-for-all/pissing match.

Wonderful thread Lashra, I have noticed and I have dared to comment on this before.
I notice when I did, no one really backed me up on it here.
There is one thing, to come here state an opinion/disagree, etc. that to me is okay.
There is another thing, to come here for the INTENT of being nasty, disruptive, offensive
rude, crude, insensitive, demeaning,nasty, bashing women or womens issues, or any issue
that the women HERE feel they want to discuss or are relevant to them, coming to say your
stupid smart assed comments {because I am so damn cute and everyone loves me}.
To do these things is just nasty and mean spirited.
Even when they come back as one is right now, and want to be nice-->I still ignore him.
No one says anything, because a few are the "darlings of CM".
And it is supposed to be funny?
Yet do we go to Ask a Master or Ask a Submissive to purposely be mean, nasty, disruptive, rude,crude
and for the main intent on causing havoc, discord or to be offensive?

No, would we be accepted there and not called on it?  No
They would eventually run us the hell out of there.
It is done here, because women accept that behavior, because of course we are the inferior sex and must accept any
and all crap, because boys will be boys!
All that tend to do that here, I put on block a few months ago, every now and then I will take them off block, IF I want
to read their post {which is very very seldom}.

LadyOunce, don't let them run you away, just use the block feature and many posts I don't
even need to use the block, I just don't read the majority of the posts made by certain posters.
Its called selective reading, its easy! I can read really long threads in a few minutes, LOL
I may read half of all posts, on most of all threads.

I also have a love hate relationship with message boards involving BDSM, it just seems that 99% of the particiapants are full of it and the sifting through everything is just not worth the time.

I think it's just the nature of the beast when it comes to the internet, everyone has courage when no one knows who they are.
