I actually had someone give me as an excuse for not having the scissors, that they had no clue where to find them. I told them local medical supply shops, or they could go online. I emailed them a link, http://www.emtcatalog.com/streetgear/ when I got home. They still don't have them. Grr

What are some "must have items" for your toybag?

Aside from your mentioned first aid kit I also carry New Skin, sutures and Tegaderm.

4' Signal Whip

Everything else is incidental. [;)]

i noticed that in your arsenal of toys you included a electric fly swater. i got one of those a couple of years ago but have been to afraid to try it. Have you used one on a sub and what was the reaction they got? i have heard that they really create a good shock. Is that true?

Yes, they do hurt. When they first came out years ago, I thought they were very cool, and was curious as to what they would feel like, so I zapped my finger. Now I am no masochist, and this was way before I ever took part in any BDSM play, so my view may be skewed, but I remember it as fairly painful.

MrThorns -> RE: What every toybag should have... (3/11/2005 1:04:27 PM)

Lets see if I can add a few more things that haven't been added yet...

Horse bandages/ AKA vet wrap
Saran wrap
LUBE!!!
Box O' 16 guage needles
Small sharps container
Assorted blades
Wireless remote-controlled "egg" vibe (This is great to use while out shopping)
wireless remote-controlled "butterfly" vibe (Actually...I thought this toy needs work. It doesn't keep contact with the clitoris very well. Needs to be tighter IMO.)
Altoids/peppermint lifesavers

Yanno...this topic kinda went out of control. The idea was to give some of the new players an idea of what some essentials should be for every toybag. Even so, it's been fun hearing what some of you lug around to play parties.

*raises hand* vet wrap tape is part of mine, but since my list is boringly long, it was easy to miss.

Altoids are a good idea and live next to our bed. (ok, on the dresser, but close enough) For those who aren't quite ready to try altoids, brush your teeth RIGHT before giving oral. It is a lightweight version of the same effect. also, the breath strips are quite intense for some. You lick it and stick it.. then lick over it till it dissolves. I've not used Ice Breakers yet, but expect them to be interesting.

We weren't getting any feedback from newbies.. and besides, what thread stays within it's original parameters? Very few if any. Enjoy the fact that people cared enough to continue posting to the thread. Most threads die into obscurity pretty quickly.

SadistDave -> RE: What every toybag should have... (3/26/2005 1:05:52 PM)

I tend to play primarily at parties and public functions, so my toybag consists mostly of toys. Since the parties I attend are held by other lifestylers, there are usually excellent first aid kits kept on hand for such occasions. Functions like BMSL or our local Fetish Balls have excellent first aid facilities as a matter of course. I keep a fairly extensive first aid kit in my home that contains everything needed short of major surgery, and a simple first aid kit in my toybag. Maybe someone should start a thread for things everyone should have in their play/party spaces?

Last weekend was my birthday party, and this thread seemed like the perfect opportunity it inventory my toybag.

The toybag itself is actually some sort of music case. Never did figure out what kind. It measures in at 4'x2.5'x6".
10 floggers of varying weight and intensity (2 matched sets for florentine)
2 crops
Quirt
2 cane bundles
4 paddles
Chipped rubber spanking gloves
3 spreader bars
72 piece cupping set
"Safe sex kit" containing rubber gloves, lube, condoms, dental dams, and a variety of insertables
Fireplay box
Needleplay box
Wrist and ankle cuffs
Suspension cuffs
Assorted play collars
2 rolls bondage tape
10 locks keyed the same, and a spare key (the master key is on my keyring)
Bag of assorted "loaner" locks and keys
Box of caribiners and quick release clamps
Several sharp knives
Bag of assorted clamps for nipple and labia torture
50' cotton rope
Box of assorted items like large rubber bands, magnets, bungie cords, and wire brushes
Small first aid kit

Oh, I dunno....I saw a bumper sticker on the back of a windshield last week with that on it. Not the penis. I had to laugh and wonder out loud to my owner if he thought this guy picked up a lot of women with that truck.

I have personally been on the recieving end of such treatment and suffered no ill effects. It is probably more intense than most folks would like. The key thing to remember should you decide to try it is to apply it in very small amounts. A Q-Tip would be a good applicator.

NickInSLC -> RE: What every toybag should have... (8/15/2005 2:30:29 AM)

Electric fly swatters aren't overly harsh. More of a surface shock. I cannot comment about cattle prods as I haven't felt one yet(but I'm keeping my fingers crossed). However, I can tell you that your hand is one of the most sensitive parts of your body where electricity is concerned.

I love a stun gun on my boy parts. But I'll punch somebody who tries to stun gun my hand. I've done it and it hurts. The next time you want to experiment with the sensation of an electrical toy, try it out on your calf. It's a better gauge of what it'll feel like elsewhere.

though i have a variety of gear designed for this type of play in mind, I find that common everyday items evoke a desired response and conditioning for exaple clothes pins ,clothes hangers, flyswatters, duct tape, sports equipment, "vanilla toys" and whatever else you can find laying around as it will condition the subject to have a response when ever the encounter the items in day to day life all whom have served me have an acute reaction to to "hot wheels racetracks". One girl in particular refuses to watch any form of racing now, though hadnt planned on this it still leaves me elated to watch her shutter at the sight of toy cars- Sir Domineer

Another thing I have found much joy in....and it costs a dollar at most Dollar Tree stores:

The Almighty Spatula

Get one, you won't regret it!

Add a penis pump ... it is scary how they can be used for varying degrees of torture!

In the USA, TENS Units are considered a medical device and are supposed to be sold by prescription only. I've no clue about Canada's laws.

Sorry about this bump but i have to put in that even though tens units are medical equipment they are used for physical training and you havent needed a presrciption for one since the early 80s. My old local medical supply was staffed by a guy i met at a party once and he said more people came in to buy equipment for play than people that actually had medical conditions that needed the equipment which was interesting because it was a smallish town but had the biggest medical supply store in the area.

There are quite a few safe menthol type products that will give a wonderful effect to the anal area....think vicks vapor rub or even something milder like Burt Bee's lip balm...

just a suggestion

I leave my car in Hollywood, take the train rest of way to dungeon with a backpack loaded up with one whip, one blindfold, one leather belt and one pair of wrist cuffs until I find a new slave to own.
