Some may be legit but I have a hunch that most are traps set by wannabes, opportunists, HNG's and weekend warriors. Weaving their evil lil webs hoping to catch that oblivious lil prey to devour.

Sasshay, while its admirable that you show concern and caring for others, and yes, it's a wonderful thing to share knowledge and experience,    it  never fails to surprise me  when some people open their minds to an alternative lifestyle,  and  most of their brains  and /or common sense leak out of that opening.

In my opinion, and experience, the people who end up in bad lifestyle situations are the people who would be in bad life situations in the vanilla world as well.   Too many think of this life choice as a way to avoid personal responsibility. I refer to those who jump from "Master to Master and perpetuate the "poor helpless submissive who needs someone to take care of her/him" myth.

Lets compare being a newbie in this life style to scuba diving.   If someone told you that they had been scuba diving, and it was the be all end all of experiences, it might entice you to give it a try.   There are a couple of ways you could do this, One way would be to just dive right in without a clue , not knowing all the elements involved ,or safety procedures , equipment usage etc. They are so set on enjoying this wonderful experience RIGHT NOW, so they throw caution to the wind.

Another approach, would be to read up on scuba diving, talk to several others who have enjoyed the activity, take a course/class or two, learn about the equipment and it's usage, Then dip a toe into the waters (so to speak) and go on a short simple dive that is geared to wards beginners.

This probably wasn't the best analogy but  it was the first thing that popped into my head.
But the message is this.   It is not the silly chatrooms, or the "evil" dominants, who are ultimately responsible.  If you  really want to help someone new to the lifestyle, then educate them on making responsible decisions, and informed choices so they do not become "oblivious lil prey"

Just my opinion....

peace...

Great advice goodpet.  Talking one to one is the way to go, though not everyone will listen.  Sometimes you do learn from very difficult and disappointing experiences.  Those real life lessons you never forget either.

Well....if you ask the HNG (horny net geek)  .....     Gosh I can't spell today....

Thank you, TexanCutie.  Your spelling ain't too bad, even though someone who looks as nice as your picture on collarme.com profile page probably doesn't NEED to spell real well to get on pretty well in life .....
