I do know what you're talking about because a close friend of mine has the same efliction - lol. One night he was going to the local Leather bar here in Calgary, AB, the Calgary Eagle. Usually I am much a live and let live kind of woman. Okay, so that is nearly a lie but not quite. Your kink doesn't have to be mine and all that. That said: There's a fine line between slumming and using it against them and perpetuating cycles. Abuse is nothing to exploit and the desire to do so does cross that line between fun and abuser yourself. The second issue I see is the abuse against children. It's one thing to humiliate and fuck up the psyche of an adult but it's another to play games that may well cause abuse to children. Sadly such games on the OPs part may well lead to the mother having negative connotations about her children because of the things she's forced to do for their well being.

But it's not really that they want the person out of desperation....it's that they will do something for/to that person out of desperation for something that they think they need or are addicted to... Whether it be drugs or a strange and completely distorted view on what they feel they deserve (or don't for that matter).

I watched this special documentary on some channel or another that pertained to a young teacher, that had fallen into the seedy quagmire of heroin use.
