Gosh, it's been a while since we discussed this.. but here goes.

Grand generalization is always a mistake (how's that for an oxymoron?) Something tells me that you haven't met "most" of the Dommes in the world, only a select few that don't have the same view as yours.

Not all of us are about money... some believe that "tribute" is a good thing, some believe that a sub/slave should contribute to the house hold... and some believe that a sub/slave shouldn't work outside the home and seeks no financial return what so ever. It's a personal choice... just like you have the personal choice not to associate with those that are after your money.

the women dominants cant be generalized. not all do it for money but the women dominants that do do it because they can and the correct term is called supply and demand.

Here, let me put an answer up.

Out of all "classifications" in the community, Dom, Domme, sub, Switch, or slave, lesbian, straight, or gay, the Domme is the group outnumbered by their partners more than any other.

Thus there is a high demand for Domme's, and simple economics tells us that the market will bear whatever it wants to pay for a certain resource (in this case Domme's). And, obviously, there is a large market for it otherwise you wouldn't see so many, there must be plenty of subs willing to pay (i'm not sure how that counts as being a sub, but different strokes for different folks).

It's just a numbers game. While i don't -think- the paid dommes outnumber the 'real' ones, it's probably safe to say there is a higher percentage than among males.

Or more to the point, they can because there are men who are willing to trade money for time with them. After all, if you had a choice to work a real job, or sit at home and have men pay you to dominate them, what would you pick? And NO, I'm not saying that all Pro Dommes are just about the money; some are, some aren't.

I just find it hard to take seriously any post from someone who claims "i am the only one who can satisfy your needs."

Plus, in his profile, he prescribes how he'd like a Domme to dress and then immediately says that looks are not important...

I'm not normally one of those "use the search function" folks, but for the love of whatever you find holy, PLEASE.

As others have touched on in some manner so far:

Too grand a generalization to take *you* seriously. Rather, for me, the opposite.
Those out there that do focus on money have differing reasons.
Some of them do so do to good old supply-and-demand.
It's all about finding a match for you, if someone isn't for any reason then keep searching.

It's been my observation that most Dommes who function real time and offline don't. Doesn't mean it's true, just my observation.

I have to wonder why guys from the UK spend all their time complaining about Dommes charging them money.

I think that it's a UK problem and that it's because there are way too many submissive guys over there, with not enough dominant females.

If I were you, I would ask why there are all these submissive guys taking up the Domme's time so that she has no choice but to start charging. Maybe there's an intrinsic sense of inferiority among a large portion of the males over there. I don't get it; then again, I'm a megalomaniac, so it would be beyond my ability to comprehend... unless you're all comparing yourselves to me, I guess.

It isnt possible to say that "most dommes" do anything to be fair, as we dont have an Office of Femdom Statistics running (as far as I know, anyway).

I think there might be a perception that most dommes dominate for money, (and that most do whatever else), because even if 90% of dominant women didnt offer professional services, the 10% who do are far more visible because they have a commercial interest in being so. Those who are in long term relationships have no need to be visible in the same way, and there is no way of knowing how many ladies might be in such an arrangement. So in that scenario one would only get to know of the 10%, and yet they would seem to be the majority.

Now, given his OP, I am wondering if seeks isnt paying the bill for our night out tomorrow......even if he is the best looking guy I've seen on here in a long time, (just dont tell him though OK?), and even if I do have an expense account!

A Lifestyle Domme who is a friend of mine has an interesting view on this. She says that those who domme for money may or may not necessarily be dom. They may just be dom when there is money involved.

Personally, I would much rather be with a woman who is Dom because she is Dom and not just acting it because their are dollar signs involved.

Here here well said kind sir.I like you would rather be with someone who is naturally domme.As opposed to be with someone who is just putting on an act cause she wants her 200.00pounds at the end of a 1 hour session.Which is an incredible amount of money,maybe some of these dommes should join David beckham by playing soccer in good old USA.As there is plenty of money to be grabbed there lol.

I am a lifestyle and Pro Domme i have a 24/7 maid who serves my domestic needs. I work as a Pro Domme because I can make money doing something i was born to do. How many people can really say they do a job they love doing?
For me this is my personal choice and to each their own. Why judge each other when others are so quick to judge us all for our lifestyle???

Maybe money is more useful to them than you are?!
I would bet most women would rather connect with a warm and interesting soul (not to mention one who can deliver hot sex), but if that is absent, than money will do for the time being. M

Number one.....your lumping every Domme out there together with a very general statement. I have known many super cool Dommes and most have lots of money tied up in implements and furniture and a play space, to say nothing of the many creeps that play head games with them and never show up. If your only concern is the money involved, I would say you haven't met the right lady, or you just want a free-be. Remember you asked them......I doubt they ever twisted your arm. Can we all just get along?

How many women do you know, vanilla or otherwise, that can think about anything BUT money? Prodommes just use BDSM as a tool to get what they want, more of it...
