After being proposed to on valentine's day and then asked for a divorce exactly 11 years later on valentine's day...it really is a non - event for me now...i chose to ignore the symbolism of the day. Personally, i have always felt it a bit overrated, even before i had a divorce attached to it...

You are so sweet, Mark, Honestly.

Too bad all the hot ones are always states away.

<sigh>

How about we rendeavous at yahell for one of those till-3- in-the-morning chats?   We can share dirty secrets over wine and a keyboard.

I am probably going no where for the dreaded Vday.  Angel is about as romatic as a rock when it comes to those things, and since it is mid week and we will both be working, I have a feeling it will pass without event.  However, my birthday is a different story all togehter, and I am fairly sure that THAT day will have some fanfare.

I didn't know holidays existed anymore.

Next you'll tell me I've missed Christmas already.

Fancy that.

I have no idea what my slave has planned for me but its bound to be fantastic. Last year it was him coming home with an amazing Orchid and lily bouquet, a lovely gift of new earrings from a boutique on Newbury St. We had a nice and romantic evening.

Its overrated but its nice to have a day set aside to remember the special one you have in your life (even if its not romantic, but a friend or yourself!).

Still. I'm excited at the surprise of what he might have planned.

No real plans.  It's right after my birthday so we never really had the extra or gained an expectation of lots more for valentines day growing up.

Heehee, my birthday is right before Valentine's as well and I still want to celebrate both. [:)]

We're going out for dinner and then going out to the movies (probably to see that silly romantic comedy about an old rock star). Then we'll come home and if I've been a very good little kitten he will make me his whore. A glorious night.

I have a date with my right hand.  I think we're gonna have a really good time.

The moderators were RIGHT when they labeled you -- you ARE evil, Marie !
(but very funny, also !)

Paying an ungodly amount for dinner I would imagine. Which I am sure will be paid off in kind as the evening progresses.

I will be 4 days back from Portland.

On your last day in Portland.....I highly reccomend a short cab ride down to a place called  ''LePigeon''  on East Burnside {right off the water} - Everything on the menue is excellent, but after you've finished, I'd tell the staff you want an order to go of ''Roasted chioga beets with mache, feta and champagne citrus vinaigrette'' You could then drop that off to Julia on your way back down to SoCal [8|]

All the places in My area that one would typically think of going to for a romantic Valentine's Day celebration, all nearly double their regular prices.   I find that to be repugnant-so, therefore, I boycott them all together, and We usually just go out somewhere nice a few days before, or after to celebrate.

With out some one to share it with, valantines day just isn't the what it should be. So most likely it will be me, a sofa, alot of high callorie food and a few good DVD films on the tele.

mixielicous -> RE: So where is everyone going to on valantines day? (2/9/2007 2:44:35 PM)

Mine has made an anti-VDay stink this year-- i asked for a box of chocolates since i didnt get one last year from Him, and thats the best part! He said of course, and He will cook me dinner, spank me good and make love to me [[swoon]] hehehe

but i really dont know what to expect, He makes a habit of making holidays/bdays sound like they are going to be no fun at all - so i am extra elated in the end with whatever He provides.

twisted, huh? [:D]

I will work and then go home. So yes, it will be just like every other Wednesday. Until someone comes along to convince me otherwise it is just another Hallmark holiday.

Lorelei115 -> RE: So where is everyone going to on valantines day? (2/9/2007 4:00:10 PM)

I'm workin... if you think eating at a restaurant on valentine's day sucks, you should try working at one. [:'(]

We'll be celebrating valentine's day next weekend. I'm baking him a dessert called "La Bete Noir" which is a flourless dark chocolate torte with a ganache topping and a shortbread crust, and delivering a hand made valentine. I doubt we will be going out anywhere special, I'd rather just stay home and cuddle. [:)]
