Just wanted to add a comment of my own that has nothing to do whit the original persons coments so i made a new post, if that is okey.

I have the problem that i hardly ever bruise. It is not that i have a horendusly low pain tolerance, i dont, but i dont easaly bruise to that sort of things like whipping. Pinches bruise werry easaly and such but not strokes. Whit is anoying for i would sort of after a session be abel to look in the mirror and see more than a bit of pink.

Eat more spinage, not sure if I'm spelling it right, ya know the stuff that poppie eats. It actually slows the healing rate. Try it in a salad, good for fiber too.

Thanks for the idea. I did not know that.

Some supplements will thin your blood and make you bruise easier, like aspirin and vitamin E.

Are you sure that is safe. NOrmaly me being study like all the women in my family is a good thing. I mean my grate grandmother fell down a nasty set of stairs when she was over 80 and only managed to brake her littel finger becouse she landed on it and was big and had a werry light consussion. Otherwise she was fine. My mother when having a surgery inpressed the doctors extrely much over how fast she was back on her feet. And all of his have littel of smal inguries and good healing meat and i dont want to change that.

I personally don't believe that it is a good idea for anyone to try to inhibit the way their body heals itself and I am not sure why anyone would wish to attempt such a thing.

As for the info posted here on spinach, I had never heard of that either. I subsequently did a search and while I found countless articles regarding the healing properties of spinach, I could not find a single article that stated that it in any way slows the healing process.

I don't think losing weight will help Nella. :-) I think you're one of those individuals blessed with strong vessel walls. Remember, bruising is the body telling you that you have been damaged. You have superior resistance to damage of a certain sort. Now, the fact that pinching bruises you may mean that other activities could be added in, such as biting or actual pinching. Barring that, if you really want marks, how about you get your Dominant a studded or holed paddle?

Holes will actually blister if a paddle is used hard enough.. (where do you think the whole I'm-gong-to-blister-your-butt-if-you-don't-behave came from? [;)] )

Thank you for the idea, and thank you for the links. It is nice of you.

I believe spinach is a good source of vitamin k, which helps in blood coagulation. I do not know how that would affect bruising.

chainedgirl -> RE: Whipped 2 (3/6/2005 12:57:20 AM)

nella,

i too do not bruise easily from the cane, paddle, flogger or whatever implement is used. my skins goes "a lovely shade of pink" i have been told, but that is it - and believe me, i'm no wuss!

What Master and i did discover by accident is the amount of bruising He could cause on my breast with a simple smacking motion, done over and over in the same spot, about 4 seconds apart. i had my bra on at the time and W/we think that may have contorted things a little and helped with the bruising process.

ARoseAndAnEye -> RE: Whipped 2 (3/8/2005 11:43:32 AM)

Nella, my backside doesn't bruise easily either. my legs and arms and thighs do. when Master whips to the point that my back or butt are bruised, He has indeed taken me to task. a cane or whip to the back (or front) of my thighs will produce almost immediate bruises. the same instrument to my butt will produce a lovely welt that fades to nothing in a day or 2.

A few weeks ago, Master took me to visit my Mistress. It was a few days before we were to leave on vacation to the Caribbean. Master asked Mistress to NOT mark me because I was going to be in public in swimming suits, etc. The skill with which Mistress handled me was amazing. I left her dungeon pinker and "stingier" than I could ever have imagined.... and woke up the next morning with not a single mark on my body. I felt as though i had been handled by a magician, which indeed Mistress is!
