I often have a difficult time wanting to read someone's post, when they have a long url, and it makes their entire post extend way past my right screen, causing me to have to scroll right to read it.
It tends to discourage me (and I'd bet others) from reading anything posted with such a url.
And if you have such a long url in your sig ... most everything you post will likely not receive as much attention as it otherwise would.
You can get rid of those long unsighly URLs, and still post your link by using "tinyurl"
