Ruh roh. I guess Im in for a Safety Police citation.

First time I met my Daddy, it was alone, at night, with my car packed with three days' worth of personal items. Not only did I live to tell about it, but we are still happily (dare I say blissfully?) together.

I think the "use your head" advice is the best Ive read so far.
To that, Id like to add: Listen to your gut. Keep your eyes open. Keep breathing.
All good ideas, whether you are meeting someone new in the KFC parking lot or not.

my nickname and profile were done for me by the guy who showed me this site. As for my profile, I have since removed the questionable parts and when I have more time will put in more effort to see that it potrays the correct image I want to put out there. I didn't realize the way it looked to others and wil make the changes necessary. All I can say is that I am trying my best to learn as I go along. I thank everyone who posted responses as they were very helpful. I am glad I posted and will continue to do so in the future.

   I can understand this logic but it's not always a no-no.   My first meeting was very private but we had spent a great deal of time getting to know each other via phone, IM and email.    Nothing is absolute.

I know this is probably a little off topic, kinda. But I have a subbie friend who after chatting online and by telephone with someone that she would become his registered slave. This was last spring. All the promises sounded so good, but here it is another year and they still haven't met in person, she still waits for him online all day to throw her a bone and just got her nipple pierced because he wanted them healed when they do meet. BTW she is in her 40's and has been in several d/s relationships in the past. I just don't get it!

Thank you all. It is really nice to know there is support out there. This is my last post as hrnybutshy as I heeded yet more wonderful advice and really took a lok at my profile and the impression it was giving others. I have created a new profile and a new nic. Hopefully I will have better experiences now. I have most assuredly learned some very valuable lessonsinhere today. Thanks agian.

My first time in the field involved a private home, lots of bondage, a blindford, numerous toys and spending the night in his bed.  We did meet for lunch in a public place before all that, but I wouldn't trade the private time of my 1st time for the world.  [:)]

I'm hoping for an even better experience this weekend, and it will be another first date. Sometimes it takes a little moxie (which I learned this week was actually a soft drink before it was a word) to make good things happen.  I can "safe" myself right into paralysis if that's my focus.  But I trust my BS detector.  The OP's suitor would likely have been sent to my recycle bin at the first letter, but I've learned a lot since I started, which was a remarkably short time ago.
