Since you're in Ottawa, you should check out the Ottawa-specific site for deviants of all flavours: www.oaln.com. Registration is required, but it's free. You might also wish to attend a "slosh". Details are all available on OALN.
If walking blindly into a slosh alone for the first time is too intimidating (though that's what most of us did) email me at [email protected], and I'll be entirely happy to drag you along to the next one I attend.
And though a friend of mine would certainly kill me if I dared to speak ill of Xena, they certainly did more than 'tinker' with Greek mythology. Xena is to the original myths what a Chicken McNugget is to the original chicken.[:'(] I found the show far more tolerable once I accepted that it was taking place on some distant world that coincidentally used a lot of Greek names.
