Does anyone know where I can find information or pictures on corset piercing? Anyone ever had one done? Experiences? I am thinking this will be my next body mod.

There are tons of sites/pictures on the net...go to any search engine like google and type in corset piercing...you'll get loads of websites/pics. I've seen some corset needle play and damn is it sexy.

Corset Piercings seem to be more for decoration than anything else. Not very practical for daily living. I read that most people who have it done..eventually have the piercings taken out because they are obtrusive.
But..I dont claim to be an expert.

Personally....my idea of a corset piercing would be say...a few rings...through the flesh at the area where the laces
are at the end near the grommets on a real lacing corset.

This way you could place a small lock through the piercing ring and the corset's lacing grommet.

Thereby making the corset unremovable to the wearer!

(now i'm dreaming..lol!)

Most corset piercings are temporary because it's amazingly difficult to heal a surface piercing, not to mention 10 or a dozen of them. They have an annoying tendency to migrate out very quickly.

That is exactly what I had heard too. Someone recently told me that it is possible to keep one long term if "surface bars" rather than rings are used during the healing. I was wondering if anyone could substantiate this.

Yup, one of my friends kept her corset piercings in with bars, she took out all but the top 4 just because they were uncomfortable, but the others were fine.

Thank you, that is encouraging news!

Yes, there is a considerably greater chance of healing the piercings if surface bars are used.

even though i'd never get it done, i think corset piercing look absolutely amazing!

The following is a link to a post made in a corset community on livejournal.com. It shows the poster getting her's done, a close up of them, and with the ribbon tied through them. It looks really awesome. Corset Piercing

If/when you get it done, please post pictures! :)

want one want one want one. When i get tinner i realy want one. And i dont think it be that much of a problem. One can jist set in some of those tiny jewlery whit littel balls on either side in the prising when not used for the corest prising rings. But then, migt hit a acupuncture point so i guess i should not.

quietkitten -> RE: Corset piercing (3/5/2005 8:41:22 PM)

Everytime I start thinking that I've heard of just about everthing, I learn something new. Wow.

Bigtattoo -> RE: Corset piercing (3/7/2005 9:33:11 AM)

As stated by others corset piercings tend to be for the short term enjoyment. I have seen long term ones with surface bars and slave beads on the bars for lacing. Another innovative way was using a D ring style CBR These were custom made but worked quite well

For more information on alternative style piercings try BME.com probably the most informative site on the internet on piercing and body modification. Contains essays on any piercing style with pics as well as a glossary.

There is also the chastity corset which tends to be less problematic as it involves piercing the labia, inserting CBRs which can then be laced together.

Dom4TPE -> RE: Corset piercing (3/9/2005 2:53:19 PM)

I am RiotGirls Dom, and I was reading through this forum, and I thought I would share some thoughts, from the Piercers end of it, on Healing, and care for the modification.

I have done corset piercings, about 17 times now. As - EmeraldSlave2 - stated, that her friend took all but the top four out, b/c of comfortability. This is true. The spine, tends to get closer to the surface (outside) the skin, by the small of the back, and the hips. b/c of this, the piercings tend to be a little discomforting.

For care - When you get the piercing done, have the piercer, use non metallic wire. This causes the wound to heal, without the risk of the body rejecting the piercing. Regardless of what te piercer tells you, Clean regularly, 8-15 times a day with anti-bacterial soap, and have someone help, to make sure, that all the blood (dried or not is removed), and to keep an eye out for infection, or plasma discharge. Discharge is a great thing, as it tells you that the wound is healthy, but you can discharge to much, which is unhealthy, and you may need to remove the peircings, for a scare to form. After the wound is COMPLETELY HEALED (6-8 months), then you can get it re-done, without the fear of the body rejecting. After 4-6 months, you can then put jewelry in, (Captive Beads, or Bars, whichever you prefer. And they do make bars, with hoops on them). For the first 6 months of having the jewelry in your body, Keep a close eye on it, and wash it 5-10 times a day thoroughly.

SHould you keep the piercing, clean, and take care of it, and do not put the piercing through major workouts, while it is healing, you will have a permenant corset piercing, that you do not have to worry about.

I start the piercings, right at the bottom of the shoulder blades, this leaves enough room, to have 4 piercings, on either side of the spine, before it is to low to worry about the discomfort. Of the 17 Corset Piercings, that I have done, 1 no longer has them. 5 only have the top 4 (really 8, but they are paired) in and the other 8 still have all 32 (16 pairs) in. They are beautiful, and also a great conversation piece.

A few warning about them - CORSET Piercings, ARE NOT SUSPENSION PIERCINGS. DO NOT TRY TO SUSPEND ANYONE FROM THEIR PIERCINGS, as it will CAUSE MAJOR PROBLEMS, PAIN, and INJURY.

Also another thing to keep in mind. -------- A piercer by law, and by morals, can only do 4 piercings on the body in a 4 month time period. This is to allow the body to reproduce blood cells, and start healing. Doing anymore then 4 in the 4 months, can result in many medical problems, that can be costly, and even fatal. Be careful, with you choose to do your piercings, and ALWAYS, have them sterilize the JEWLERLY, THE NEEDLES, and the TOOLS BEING USED, before touching body at all.

Hope this is helpful to you all.
