No, the route of all evil is human kind.

It is not the root of all evil but the human desire to utterly control anyone and anything within their ability to do so. This is where religion comes into play it is the perfect avenue for taking the minds of perfectly rational people and turning them into nonthinking sheep.
It amazes me how some of the "holy" texts have so much hate, sexism, racism etc written into them. On one page it says that you shouldnt kill, on the next page it says to sacrifice your children in the name of  <insert name of Deity here> If that is the case God/dess must be one grouchy, hate filled SOB.

'they are the ones?' I tell you what i agree with Misst its a human trait in numbers to feel the need to serve or control, you cant just point the finger at a group which is what you are seemingly doing , NO churchgoers arent to blame for the trouble in the world as you put it, thats just the same mentality which starts the 'them and us' chain of thinking, deeply shallow and while we have it there wil always be trouble. I understand your need to debate this but i cant see anything productive by pointing fingers here. Nature is one huge force of which actions and reactions will always take place in, blaming groups just wont help they will cause more re-actions..understanding your actions is the key to self and social preservation, if we wanna stick together we have to raise our understanding for our natural responses.
