I moved my slave out of my home, and we are happier living apart than we ever were living together.  I enjoy going over there now. weg
I am taking control of my life.  After a two year illness, I am getting my strength back so that I can return to work. 
I saw someone quit smoking. I quit 10/26/06 when I had my hysterectomy.  It is tough.  I had to change who I hung out with.  It is an addiction just like alcohol.  Once you make up your mind, you can do it.  You will hate yourself if you start back now. 
This is my fifth time trying to quit smoking.  Hang tough with that.

I am doing well. Trying to get back to focusing on taking better care of myself in all ways.

The last months of last year were hell with family stuff, I had to spend alot of $$ to make sure some small fry were safe and legally protected. In addition to having them with me alot which has been a blast. That combined with some hurtful relationship crap sidetracked me too much and I let myself get too drained.

This time of year is hard on me, cold and dark with no fun holiday stuff. However I have been really concentrating on getting caught up on my reading. Have been doing alot on eastern religouns and want to learn a new language this year.

I have also been drooling over all the seed catalogues that have been coming in the mail. Making plans for new gardens and stuff.

Oh yeah, I also recently found out I am in full blown menopause.........pray for those that foolishly cross me.

I am living on my own, finally.  The apartment is coming together and for once I love my job.
I have far more acces to Angel than I ever had before, and we are coming along swimmingly. I am very happy with how he has taken to his role as slave and baby.
I have lost more weight (where its going, i dont know, I certainly am not watching what I eat...)
And for the first time EVER, I was able to tel my Mother to just grin and deal, if she didnt like Angel and my relationship shed have to cope.

So, its been a good year so far.

And... next week... I turn 30

It's been a good month. I passed a significant work deadline with great success. My primary relationship, which oscillates from "nice and comfortable" to "really happy and affectionate" is more like the latter than the former. I'm developing a nice little circle of kinky friends, and I've had some fun scenes with a few of them. I have begun a promising service relationship with a submissive man--we'll see how that goes. My partner and I recently purchased a violet wand, and I look forward to shocking people with it. I expect that this will be a good year.

Well, let's see...

'Nilla-wise, the tax return is good enough to cover all the necessary and non-necessary work I want done on my car, so by the end of the month she'll be purring like new.  I'm enrolled in a local school to start a new area of study that should be entertaining and useful to me.  I've also started some of the major work needed done on my landscaping and house renovating that needs done this year and it's going smoothly.

BDSM-wise, I've gotten back into the local scene after a long break and have acquired a new local sub who I'm learning.  I also am in talks with a part-time semi-long-distance slave who on the surface shows promise, we'll see how that goes.  I've acquired a couple new minor toys, enjoyed a couple of demos, got my creative juices flowing.

So, over all, the year has started off well.

Good for you!  I think you win the award for getting the most accomplished in one month! How the hell do you even have time

Dear MzMia, Ladies and Gentlemen;
 
January was rather good to me.  I saw friends that I hadn't seen since July and met new ones at MAL (Mid-Atlantic Leather 2007).  I even restrained my spending so financially I'm ok.
 
Health wise, it is up and down.  Arthritis is always dependant on weather changes and or activities.
 
I continue to mentor individuals in the arts of D/s and or M/s.  I am warmed when I get feed back how different (for the better) they are having been helped/mentored by me. 
 
I buried another dear man who was in my life for a long time, the last of a local WWII veteran that was of the lifestyle.  It was fitting he was buried the same day as President Ford.

Thankyou everyone for your support with the smoking [:D] God its hard but its 4 weeks this thursday yay !!!!  The cravings havent gone though yet [:(]  And im a tearful bitch with it sometimes but i feel so much better and the money i am saving is great !!!

Lady hugs my condolenses,  and thankyou for everything you have done for me also.  You really are such an asset to the community and your threads are something iread with great interest.

I am gald everyone else has mosly posotive things so far and i wish everyone the best for the rest of the year and good luck in your searches and schooling etc

I am working about 10-12 hours a day, normally 6 days a week.  I am working hard to make my dreams come true.
Hopefully, this will pay off for me in a few years.

Thankyou so much for your comments mzmia   im trying so hard with the not smoking and doing ok so far but everyday i think sod it i will buy some!!! i havent yet though [:D]
I so love the style of the 30s/40s i would love to find a decent clothes store that sells day clothes and nice underwear from that era  i especially love buresque things :D

Greetings.....

my congrats on the no smoking!!!....It is a very difficult thing to do..i will be celebrating 15 years smoke free on the 27th of this month...it remains one of my proudest accomplishments....i am always pleased to see anyone treat themselves better.....Wishing you continued success.....:)
