Devilslilsister -> Alright who dun it? (2/4/2007 7:52:46 AM)

I'm slightly wigged out here and i'm slightly feeling really silly.  I'm waivering between them.

I got up this morning to SPECIFICALLY open the back door for the dog.  Yet, funny enough it was already open.  The light in the kitchen (first main light near the back door) was on.  This was NOT the way i left the house last night when i went to sleep.  The kitchen light maybe be an iffy thing, but i do have a mental image of me turning OFF the light.  and i KNOW the back door was shut because as i was turning on the outside lights last night, my Snow went over to beg to go out.  (too cold).  He could NOT go out because the god damn back door was shut.  The back door's lock is abit tricky, been slammed shut too many times while it was in lock position.  (i've got to play with it to lock it.. which of course i didnt do last night)  The door is IN lock position and open.

YET nothing is missing.  The dog never sounded the alarm either.  Everything else is normal - except for the door being open and a light on.  Left 15 dollars on the kitchen counter and its still there.

i dont sleep walk and my wee one was sleeping as well (and denied the charges) and NO ONE else is here.  Oh and none of the animals can open it as its a big sliding glass door.  Now i've already called my bro on the phone while i did a walk through.  I dont think anyone is here, but i do have a massively big kitchen knife at my side incase some MORON wants to cause issue.   although i didnt check all the closests.

Okay................. so i'm slightly wigged, feeling abit silly (its got to be something normal), def perplexed and Master isnt awake yet.

WHO DUN IT!!!!  (was it you..........?)

whew!  I've Master on IM and he tells me i'm not being silly and suggested i have a non emergency police officer come out to check things out.  Which i'm doing.  i didnt realise how nervous i was until i was trying to explain it all to the police.  I do feel slightly silly (Master says i'm not being so) and i know i will feel better once a cop is here checking stuff out

How old is this wee one? Our wee ones love being helpful, and helping by letting the dog out, and then leaving everything open on the way back sounds in character.

I haven't had something like that happen, but I do tend to leave the door key in the front door, the car keys in the car, etc. I also tend to leave my wallet on the dash, money laying around the house, ...stuff like that. Fortunately I live in the boonies, and have never had anything come up missing ( except of course for the things I mislay due to being absentminded ).

It was possibly some fluke of the door not closing right,  and maybe you little one got up for something but was half asleep and forgot. At any rate, having a police officer check things out won't hurt. The worst that can happen is that he will think that you are paranoid. As the saying goes, better safe than sorry.

i don't blame you.

i live in the basement flat of my building and the only tenant at the moment because there's no one living in the two apartments above me. one time i called the police because someone unlocked my back door which my oldest UM remembered locking before we left to do a radio show.  nothing was missing either (there's plenty of a valuable stuff to take) but it was strange since i'm the only one with two sets of keys to get into my place..

never hurts being safe than sorry

They were very friendly and nice.  Checked everything out - told me to keep the doors locked because they are having a bunch of daytime break ins.  But of course - they arent in my area.  I'm still like in the boonies, but not.. new area they're all building in.

And YES i made the police officers check under the beds.  LOL

And no the UM didnt do it.  She was sleeping when i got up AND she also said she didnt do it.  SOME ONE did it.  The police officers tried to make me feel better by saying the wind might of opened it....  but they'll send some one around tonight to double check.

i am half wondering if it was a neighbor of mine.  An ex friend who doesnt realise she's an ex friend.  LOL  i think she tried to swipe tomatoes from my garden 2 days ago, but the unmentionable was out there........ my friend giving lame excuses of why she didnt come to the DOOR.

<--- been keeping an eye on the tomatoes.  LOL

It's true I didn't take anything.  But I did leave something behind for you....Upon further inspection I am sure you will discover some of Domiguy's nose hairs attached to your panties.

for peace of mind, you might want to attach some jingle bells or something that makes noise to the door on the inside.

Sometimes UM's sleepwalk.  This sounds far-fetched, but my son was in high school, taking a class in finance.  They were playing fake stocks. He became obsessed with his.  We started waking up, finding the Bloomberg Channel on.  I finally caught him downstairs watching it....with no recollection in the morning.  We still tease him.
