California wants to ban the sale of incadescent light bulbs. Would you support such a ban in your locale? Why or why not. Side note here: aresols are banned in California. A female buddy of mine in LA had to have her hair spray. So she set out on a 6 hour ride to Nevada where it is legal. Bought a case of the banned hair spray and started home. She got caught up in a dust storm. Her bf went out to find her. Next both parties were lost in the dust storm- so 911 was notified. So a search and rescue was dispached. In the end all were safe- and she got her hair spray. LMAO. note: alternative lights will come down in price. LED lighting is practically free- expect a huge explosion of applications of LEDs in home and office- everywhere.

This sounds like a bright idea, though I'd like to hear about it all; watt elements make incandescents poor? Is it the volt of resistance from industry that a law is required, or have light bulbs had their day and are all burnt out? I'll stop now E

Lady E, as you know the US has dragged its feet on kioto- thumbed its nose at global warming. and is ruled by corporations- Both folks whom are interested in teck and interior design would be interested in this. [BTW- I concur with your statement on diclosure of the details.- we do need to know the full scope of the bill :-)] Americans put out 2x the amount of co2 into the atmosphere- compared to its EU counterparts. Well- thats unacceptable. EU/UK enjoy the western style of life- there is no excuse to be so gluttonous that it ruins the planet- when folks across the pond enjoy a decent quality of life. Hence, baby steps. I am fascinated by new applications- ok- my living room has flouresent and LED lighting. Bedroom, has halogyn. There are so many choices. :-)

I am in California, and if it helps being sustainable in the future, then I support it...But you know since I am in the land of the fruits and nuts I would tend to think this way (Im a nut by the way)
