wonderlust -> A Mentor (2/8/2007 11:13:22 AM)

Ive been doing alot of thinking since my Master had to leave me for health reasons.Maybe i should explain His and my relationship a bit.He Is more like a Mentor to me .But I  used Master on the outside world as a show of respect .I called him something different  inside our world..I first looked to him for help Controlling Me and my Moods, You see I have bipolar and before I met Him my moods would get way outta line.So one day I went online and typed controlling and "The Lifestyle" and Collarme popped up.so I looked around and chatted with many Doms ,I got really close to one(who i still consider my  close friend)but instead of controlling the my moods  my Mania heighted .Then I finally metmy Savior he taught me to  control my moods.And became A true and honest friend& teacher  to me.it. But then it happened He had His stroke.And He left the "Lifestyle" and All it pertained  me included.I Know Part of it was Him being to Proud to appear weak.Although He could Never Be that in my eyes.anyways. now I am seeking a  Mentor and friend.But It should be understood That If this person  be a Master I am not looking to be collared only friendship from a mentor &friend.I would like Other Friends if it is possible.I have one question though.How many Bipolars are out there in CM land?I call us Beepers (LOL).Thanks for listening,wonder

I am bipolar. I don't expect anyone other than myself to control my moods. That's unhealthy. It's good that you met someone who could help you gain better coping skills. Not everyone can do that.

Greetings All,

this girlhas a question, have you ever considered being there for him as a submissive friend? you are still pleasing him by being there but not in a direct root.

P.S this girl is sorry for your situation and she hopes you can resolve and be happy soon :)

Quickreplying:

Am bipolar as well, and echo what MasterFire said.

I agree with Master Fire. Mood swings can only be controlled by you, and expecting another to do this for you is too much pressure. The mania coming from Collarme is something i slightly had to deal with also. Sexual energy can do that to us who are sensitive, and there is actually a name for it when it gets too out of hand. (Yes, sex nymphs can get out of hand...LOL.) So be careful! I set boundries for myself to help me keep controle of it. Limit my time i spent here, come to terms that i don't have to answer every Dom's letters, and making sure i kept a healthy everyday life outside of Collarme.

There are plenty of Doms out there that will love to be your friend and mentor, and i am sure you have learned enough from your past relationship to know when you find him. But while you are waiting, do stuff for yourself to get in a healthier state.

Oh and by the way....I'm BiPolar. Why do you call us Beepers?

wonderlust -> RE: A Mentor (2/8/2007 12:59:15 PM)

Yes I still wanted to be a friend to My Master/Mentor /friend but as I said He broke all ties with CM. But still have hopes
And yes he did help me with better coping skills.And I  will also take  all your advice.As  for Beepers Its just a name I came up with at my DBSA  (Depression Bipolar Suppoort Alliance) meetings.Im a beeper, she's abeeper ,He's a beeper, wouldnt you like to be a beeper too.Sorry  just my wierd sense of humor coming out.Thanks to you all! wonder

I don't count on any one to help. I talk to the right people and take the prescribed meds for ME. I am bipolar but I have never used it as a copout. Just My opinion.

i think its best if you dont use the BDSM lifestyle to control your moods.  Only you can honestly do that.

SCDommie -> RE: A Mentor (2/8/2007 2:51:41 PM)

Hello:

I am bipolar as well.  I understand your wanting to control your moods, but unfortunately, we cannot, nor can someone else always do that for us. I had a Mentor a long time ago that helped to the point I became emotionally dependent upon him.  I finally broke totally away from him, and feel much better about myself.
I allow my pshyce to control my bipolar mood swings, and advice you to seek the same.
It is not that bipolar is bad, it is hard to keep your emotions stable then people may view you as weak.  What others think about you, is not a big thing.
I wish you the best of luck.

LOL cute, but i wouldn't wish this on anyone. Luckly, it has helped me grow, but not everyone gets to that point.
