mercxi -> quick question (3/9/2005 7:22:05 AM)

why do a good amount of pro-dommes make men pay but not women?

MadameDahlia -> RE: quick question (3/9/2005 9:18:25 AM)

Have you polled several (as in more than one thousand) of these ProDommes and found that none of them charge femsubs but they do charge each of the men?

Do you have facts or figures to quote? Can you state the source of your data?

I'm of the impression that ProDommes are in business for themselves like any other business owner. Why would they lose the money from female clients? That doesn't make sense.

If you've got factual data to support the assumption that ProDommes do not charge their female clients I believe more people will address your question.

LadyTantalize -> RE: quick question (3/9/2005 10:45:23 AM)

Actually I have a female who is also a client! And, I have a few personals who are men.
Tit for tat.

Possibly it's to do with statistics that equate a far greater number of submissive men to Dominant Women - it's a supply and demand type thing - while the ratio of submissive women to Dominant Women is lower giving ProDomme simply a larger market of men than women who utilize their services. Or, it might be because more men are willing to pay for the services provided in Professional Domination. Or because some ProDommes might be lesbian and prefer to play/scene with women on a personal basis.

I think the reasons might vary for each individual ProDomme.

onceburned -> RE: quick question (3/9/2005 11:39:29 AM)

Or it could be - and I am going to make a sweeping generalization here - that females are willing to put in the work necessary for forming and maintaining a relationship, but guys are more likely to be of a "thanks for the fun, see you!" attitude.

perverseangelic -> RE: quick question (3/9/2005 11:51:33 AM)

Admittedly, I only know three pro dommes, but all of them charge anyone who is interested, regarldess of gender.

OP- please cite your research/sources.

Lol, good one... Among my initial advice from mentors upon entering the lifestyle was to make boys buy whatever they wanted me to use on them because a lot of them simply want to play out their kink and leave, and if I allowed that, I would just feel used, and indeed I would.

It's amazing the number of men willing to "allow me" to use them (wink) in whatever way I want, without the inconveniences of courtship and relationship. I say to those men go to a Pro, as GoddessJules frequently pointed out, there are no fetish gear or toy trees in the backyard, and in my case, no place to regain self respect if I'm being used unwittingly for a man's pleasure. I am very glad Pro Dommes exist.

So mercix, why use a Domme if you're not willing to part with our money? ...and why whine about them not charging females? She's the Domme, it's her business what she does with her time and who she decides to charge for it. M

Oh this is about the truest set of statements ever! I can not tell you how many subs approach me because of my huge toy collection. Most of them, when I told them that I expect them to buy whatever toys I was going to use on them for the first several sessions, are indignant. They start ranting that I'm just a proDomme in disguise because I want compensation. My response is.. I don't care who gets to keep the toys, I'm just not going to finance your foray into kink with my equipment. My equipment took me time and effort to obtain. I am not going to wear it out on every tom's hairy dick. -These idiots really expect that they don't need to contribute a thing to the play sessions other than their body. They forget we have more offers of male bodies than we could ever accept.

MizSuz -> RE: quick question (3/9/2005 2:11:23 PM)

It was the abundance of people contacting me with the described below mindset, the hours I was spending sifting through it all trying to be 'polite' and respond, that inevitably contributed to my choice to go pro.

If you contact a lady and say "I'm not looking for a pro. Do you have a stocked dungeon and full fetish wardrobe? How may I make an appointment" what you are really saying is "I'd like a pro session, I just don't want to pay for it."

Goodbye. NEXT!

Amen Ladies, Amen!

nella -> RE: quick question (3/9/2005 2:49:13 PM)

The amount of male submissive is huge, even to the point where several of the female submissives are contacted by them and begged to Top them, women more seldom want to pay for such, for they want things to be real, besides there are so many Dom males out there that usualy one can find one that one can have feelings whit to,

VictoriaStCyr -> RE: quick question (3/13/2005 10:54:06 PM)

Who said? Where did you come up with that one? Everyone gives their tribute for my time.

The majority of calls I get are from men. Very very rarely do I get a call from a woman, but when they call they must give a tribute too - no different.

What I have noticed is usually men who call to set up apointments for him and his girlfirend/wife/female whatever and it's a phone freak call.

I have found that most sub women are not in short supply of play partners, male or female.

Just my seventy-three cents. . . . .

Mistress Victoria

quick answer: I am an equal opportunity Domina. I don't care about the gender of the client. Client is client.
Where did you get your information?
