I think the chocolate mousse, though I wont explain why except to point to your other thread and the meaning of souffler, from which souffle is derived, and the euphemistic interpretation I came to!

No, I wish I could say I have but I haven't gotten around to it yet.  Even if you have a mousse you are comfortable making already, you could just steal the chocolate collar part, and fill with your own mousse.  I did watch the show, and it seemed easy enough.

Edited to add:  If you use my idea you have to send me cheesecake

I must correct this statement.  If you use any idea, you must sent us ALL cheesecake

I have to go with Krissi yet add a little bit to it.  Chocolate covered Strawberries, raspberries, banana slices, apple wedges, marshmallows, cheesecake bites, angle food cake etc...Choose what you want.

Coat them with Ganache http://www.joyofbaking.com/ganache.html.  It is a very simple yet rich and decadent chocolate sauce that does harden then melts in your mouth.

Another idea for chocolate dessert is chocolate covered slave.  This is an activity in which he can participate in the making of:

Items needed
  • slave(s)
  • 3 or 4 custard cups
  • 3 or 4 paint brushes (wide bristle)
  • 2 or 3 flavored extracts (DOMINANTS favorite flavors)
  • Ganache
  • Message Hearts (optional)

Divide Ganache up evenly into the 4 custard cups.  Add one flavoring to each custard cup, keep one cup strictly chocolate.  Place a paint brush in each cup and place in play area.  Ask DOMINANT to come to play area where slave is waiting nude and shaved (if DOMINANT likes that) as a blank canvas ready to be painted.  After he/she finishes their masterpiece, they can consume it in more ways than one.  If you can manage it, you can take the ganache, use it as paste and "glue" message hearts on your ass.

WOW! someones done this before!! great tips on the chocolate bowl!

Another way to make a chocolate container is to use a balloon.  ,WASH the balloon thoroughly on the outside.  DO NOT COAT THE BALLOON WITH OIL the chocolate won't stick to it if you do. Blow up the balloon to your desired size, dip the balloon in the melted chocolate (ganache) place the large end on a piece of parchment paper til it cools and hardens then pop the balloon.  This way you are not limited to the size of the container you want to put the DECADENT dessert in.

Mousse, souffles can fall depending on the weather, and god forbid he opens the oven door to peek in. Plus if you get romantic and want to wait, the mousse can and the souffle can't.

I voted for chocolate mousse, keep it simple, some whipped cream and chocolate or white chocolate shavings for topping.

The problem with using a balloon is you end up with a container with no flat spot to stand on. And you are stuck with a round container. Using a glass container for your form you can choose many shapes, fluted, etc.

The new silicone molds are actually great for making chocolate "cups" and the like.   You can get them in just about any shape from hearts (keeping with the V-day theme here), flowers, diamonds, squares, traditional cupcake.   No need to prep them other to make sure they are very clean and dry, then give them inside a good coating with chocolate.   Let firm in the fridge, and carefully remove.   I always manage to break one or two when removing them from the molds, so make a few extra.

Alternatively you can make tuile cookies, which, when first removed from the oven, are pliable and can be shaped.  You have to move quickly though, because they crisp up in seconds.   Once you take them out of the oven, you immediately take off the tray, then drape over an upside-down bowl to give them a bowl shape.  You can find good tuile recipes and instructions on epicurious.com.

This is why you place the large end on a piece of parchment paper....it makes a natural stand from the melted chocolate that touches the paper.

Make the Mousse but do an elegant presentation.

Pick out a nice small dessert bowl, turn it upside down and butter the bottom of it, put it in the freezer while you do the next step. Melt semisweet chocolate in your microwave with a teaspoon of shortening until just melted. Now slowly pour the melted chocolate over the bowl.

Pop it back in the freezer until the chocolate is hard. Turn the bowl upside right and gently tap on the inside, this will cause the chocolate on the outside to come off.

Tadah, now you have a chocolate bowl to serve the mousse in.

Puree some raspberries with a little sugar, put it in a ziploc bag, now snip a corner of the bag.

On a desert plate make a flower pattern by overlapping heart shapes out of the puree. Sit your chocolate bowl in the middle, fill with your mousse, now top with home made whipped creme and either a few fresh raspberries or a strawberry dipped in chocolate.

OMG ! I am going to have to fast a day, just reading this!

My vote is definately mousse, I have had bad luck with souffle's...they fall :(
