Having cooked lobster back when they were cheap enough, most people have a problem with sticking them in boiling water. The steam coming through cracks in the shell sounds like a scream.

Oh and don't boil them with rubber bands on, they'll get the rubber taste into the meat. Do use wood to jam the claws shut.

New Brunswick is beautiful. Better fish than we have here, too. An awful lot of the stuff sold as "Maine lobster" comes from Grand Manan.

Not that it's any large deal, Manan is just a hair in from the gulf of maine.. And besides, it's always been my opinion that the colder the native warters, the better the lobster.

Before lobster became popular, they used to feed it to prisoners in Maine.

Lobsters from what I understand are basically just bugs in the same Genus as roaches, got no problem killing roaches so got no problem killing lobsters.

While I agree and have no issues about 'busting a cap' on a lobster. That relationship between roaches and lobsters is a LONG way off Roaches are distant cousins Arthropods  and THEY are VERY distant relatives of Decapods (Lobsters, and I think shrimp). They aren't insects at all, that's one of those new wives tales guys who flunked marine biology started
I agree though... fuckin kill em and pass the melted butter

Did you ever see One Crazy Summer? Eighties movie - in one scene, the villain is dropping lobsters into  pot and listening the tiny screams through a stethoscope, lol.

No... I haven't seen the film, but I will make it a point to. Thanks.... Heh ... when we were kids in Portsmouth we'd have lobster races across the kitchen floor.

It's just another teen movie, mostly notable for starring John Cusak, Demi Moore, and Bob Goldthwait - the lobster scene might be the best scene in the movie.
