Does anyone know of a way to keep costume jewelry from tarnishing?

silver colored, steam it in a bamboo basket and use chlorine  wipes

Defiant --- you can't actualy stop costume jewelery tarnishing (with the exception of silver colored - have it rhodium plated) -- however, clean your jewelery with warm water and dish washing liquid and a soft toothbrush.
