As a sub, a smoking Domme is a deal breaker.  Grew up with parents that smoked (heavily) and can't stand it.  Dad died from it, mom's on her way (aneuryism and clots).  Plus there is nothing like the smell of clean hair when you are nuzzling her neck. 
I can see why there is such a fetish for it though, specially the objectification of being used as an ashtray.  Just not for me, I would rather be used as a spittoon......not for chew though ewwwwwww

I give kudos to anyone who can quit,  it takes one hell of alot of willpower.  Like any addiction you have to want to quit.

I honestly had not noticed that "many" dommes smoke.  I always figured it was about the same percentage as the general population, which is getting smaller and smaller.
I smoke and it has nothing to do with being a FemDom.  *shrug*

They smoke because They like it.
A City in Maine has passed the law about No smoking in cars with kids in them.
I think its a great law to protect kids.

I don't know what the subject of smoking is doing on a forum pertaining to mistresses, and there's doesn't seem to be a connection but I can speak with authority on the issue of smoking. When I was around 16, I was a heavy smoker. And I was very inconsiderate. I thought that because I enjoyed smoking, everyone did. And so I would light up and blow smoke in people's faces and think I was doing them a favor. Gradually, my weak lungs rebelled and I had to quit smoking. Then I developed asthma.  I quite a while ago.

I quit in October.  I have been smoking off and on since I was 18. 
I was a smoker a long time before I was a FemDom.  I loved to smoke.  Still would be if I had not seeen first hand how bad my breathing got in the hospital.  I quit for the hospital.

Oh there soooo is a link with Dommes and smoking, i have an terrible fetish for smoking dommes in truth i'd choose a smoking dommes over a non smoking one everytime, i can't help the desire, to me if being ultra healthy and NOT doing this n that is where we are heading then i'm glad il be dead before that happens! Life is for living not for worrying, do what you want but never impose on others, the trouble with the smoking thing is scientists still have not come to conclusions regarding the amount of smoke needed to develop cancer especially amongst passive smokers, some heavey heavy smokers die naturally so where is your evidence now? Wanna know what breeds cancer? I could tell you but you wouldnt believe me...

Remember dommes are people first. Just normal, everyday women.  With feelings and downfalls just like everyone else. But Im sure you know this already, unlike some other patronizing idiots out there.

I know its a bit of a let down.

I had to sacrifice my coolness when I quit smoking a month ago.

Perhaps we both can try candy cigarettes so we can hang out with the "in crowd"
