I have noticed that myself, many submissive and dominant women seem to be overweight.
I am not putting these women down, it is just a fact.

Do you think pro-longed internet usage for whatever reason has a dramatic correlation to being a teletubby? Oh yeah that and 65 donuts.

If I eat 65 donuts can I be a teletubby too?

Yeah..but...bagsy i pick the blue one! AND you have to eat 65 full size donuts in ONE GO... i BET you cant do that!?

So exactly what is the question?  "Why are there a lot of fat subs like me on Collarme?"

Sounds a little odd, doesn't it?  [:-]

to a daddysgirl. Not just overweight subs, overweight doms also. Didn't notice this so much for men.And this is not just on collarme i have noticed it in dungeons as well. its curious to me and being curious i wonder if there is a correlation. my best guess is that we in BDSM tend to indulge our desires more than the general pop.but that is only a guess. thus my curiousity as to others ideas

So you're saying you look at men as much as women then?

At the same time...just going by your experiences...it can't really govern all those that express certain tendencies all over the world, can it? Even if you've been doing this for aeons...

GeekyGirl -> RE: Why so many overweight women in BDSM? in viewing photos it seems like there is a significantly.. (2/10/2007 8:29:32 PM)

Here's a response...who gives a crap whether or not BDSM gals are heavier than vanilla gals.

I mean honestly, have you nothing better to do with your time than waste mental energy pondering other people's looks?

You know why vanilla sites APPEAR to have more thin people? It's because the vanilla crowd in general is less tolerant of obesity, therefore fat people aren't as likely to list profiles on vanilla sites to begin with.

Newsflash: America is fat. Get over it. Walk into the grocery store and count the number of fat people vs thin people and you'll find that over half the adults are at least moderately overweight. I say "adults" because teens don't really count...a lot of women are thin as teens and gain after the age of 18 or so. I was one of these (went from a size 3 to a size 14 almost overnight and with little change to my diet or exercise regimen.)

The big question is why the hell does anyone care? I respect that some people want to be thin. Good for them. The rest of us will enjoy our food and find more intellectually productive things to do than spend hours on a treadmill.  Live and let live and don't worry about other people.

I'm 5ft3 and almost 200lbs. I'm also cute as all get-out. As long as I'm happy with myself, I see no need to post threads pondering the appearance/weight of other people. What they look like is just not a terribly interesting subject.

These have been my feelings also, many people in this lifestyle are endulging their desires in one area, so why deny the urges
in other areas.  I don't mind a woman being 10-20 pounds overweight.  Many women look nice a little overweight.  I have issues
with women and men, that weigh 250, 300 and 400 pounds, at that point it is just unhealthy.

Very good point, we all have choices, some choose not to give a crap and some choose not to be with them... but as you said who cares if you are happy..right?

Let me go get another box of donuts and chips to eat while I read the rest of the replies.

First of all, it's a she.  Secondly, her guess would be about as good as anyone else's, no?

i mean, saying i'm fat and notice a lot of other fat people here....why are there so many of us on this site....just sounds a little goofy to me  [8|]

So i really don't have an answer as the question behooves me.

I thought perhaps some documentation might help, but I doubt it.

Exactly. We all have a right to make choices and I have never once resented someone who was put off from dating me based on my weight. People have preferences...you can't hold that against them. I find more than enough men who like girls my size, so why worry about the ones who don't?

People have a right to not care about certain things and others have a right to exlude those people from their dating choices based on that. For example, everyone over the age of 21 has a right to get drunk on the weekends but I wouldn't date someone who did that. Doesn't make them a bad person, just not a person for me.
