To my understanding DarthBetta's account has been Banned and he was never given an e-mail or explanation as to why. He never even recieved a warning as that he may be getting off topic to unpleasentries or crossing the line that the mods drew.

Would anyone care to explain why the bucket got the boot?

I think your understanding might be a tad off the mark. Mod3 mentioned that Db was on a "timeout," which leads me to believe he was only suspended for a bit and not banned outright.

He was on a timeout, he knows why.. but since he has others asking I shall explain.

Last month the board was raped by HNGguy... this person was a total ass and posted vulgar and inappropriate remarks in various sections of the boards. This person was in fact Darthbetta, and here is his warning from then:

Your creation of the name HNGguy and then actions after were not impressive at all.

In fact, you are now warned if you continue to try and flame, bait, annoy or break any other of the board rules you will have all your accounts deleted and you will be banned from CM.com. I am appalled at your behavior, especially after writing to me telling me how you are usually a level headed guy.

If you are in fact a moderator on other forums you know just how hard it can be at times to keep the place cleaned up. Your direct actions speak volumes about you and your intentions.

Mod3

His reply was:

I believe my point is made.

I will delete the HNGguy account as it will serve no further use.

I came to this forum to avoid people of that posting nature, and your board is rapidly become infested with the likes of "HNGguy" and alternative accounts from people who simply wish to make themselves look better, or draw more attention.

My tactic as "HNGguy" while crude, was exactly the same as another person(s) on the board as both are TEXTBOOK STYLE for drawing readership in and annoying people to the point that they will either complain or read more and read faster just to see what the person says next. Same grammar, text type, phrases, and misspellings.

I took it to the extreme however.

My intentions as Darthbetta are completely unrelated, and I do hope that in the next few weeks a return to the community status I came here for will be restored. Good level headed conversations, and a lack of idiots. I am sorry for the underhanded outburst. Just as annoying as HNGguy was, there are others whom I believe you are aware of that need a "gag". I can forsee the pattern that is happening. I hope just as you "nipped it in the butt" with "HNGguy" you remain consistent and do such with other posters and send a few of them a "kindly shut the fuck up..... or else" message.

Sincerely,

D.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then last week he was given the benifit of the doubt of "possibly" not reading the forum guidelines, and given a one week time out. This is the email he then recieved:

Please refer to this post.. --> http://www.collarme.com/forum/Section_Guidelines_%2D_General_BDSM_Discussion/m_73512/tm.htm

I know you have noticed your oversized pictures have been removed on numerous occasions. Posting them under your darth name or your other two is not allowed.

You are being placed on 1 weeks suspension, I am more than sure you are aware of the forum rules. This includes posting under your other names as well.

Mod3

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Now if you will note, I did say it included posting under his other names as well. He continued to post under his DB name, knowing full well he was on a suspension.. one post in fact contained a link that was to a porn site with explicit pictures of gay male sex.. a TOS violation. He also posted under his other names, after being told not to.

Since he was given the warning in Feb. over the HNG episode then given the timeout for which he did not adhere to he was banned and his accounts were deleted.

Simple as that.

However, thanks for the full story. I never thought BucketHead was one of those kinda guys. Take care and keep up the good work.

I think a good majority of the people here do. If you look at posting styles and such.
Of course the holier than though people as well. They have to have somebody who agree's with them.

Thanks for the explanation.
I'm surprised by the behavior/seeming craziness it describes. M

A good majority? I would be incredibly suprised if it was more than an annoying handful of people with multiple accounts (at least those used for nefarious purposes).

OMG...that is so strange. Someone wants to be a star, so they make up their own fanclub to cheer themselves on? LOL!

More sad than strange, but it's far from uncommon.

I guess I'm just lucky to have so many adoring fans that I don't need multiple profiles or other types of alter egos. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, there can be only one Lord King Mighty Mouse.
