mainly Polish people they are and people from eastern block countries.It has got so bad at work now that on every shift that there are about 80percent poles compared to only 20percent English,at anytime this will be the equation of how bad it is.Im sick of them i don't know what the answer is?Does anyonelse please,know how we can get rid of all immigrants from my country?Thanks to anyone who has an idea.It's really affecting me in a big way as im even now having all of my nightmares in polski/Polish lol.English people want there counrty back,and cival rights improved,very soon.

How 'bout we get all the people claiming there are no jobs for them, off the dole and get them to take the jobs? No need for migrants. Greater national product. Reduced welfare costs. These migrants are here, because around a million of our wondrous compatriots refuse to take the jobs available. It is with this that the problem lies, not with the migrants. E

Immigration exists for three reasons: Familial reunification, jobs and to escape political persecution. It is a myth that immigrants take 'away' jobs from those native to the countries immigrants migrate. If there were more skilled workers, more positions would be available and companies would not have to 'farm out' positions of employment. Immigrants fill a niche in the high and low end of the employment scale. Brits still suffer with the imperialistic attitude that some jobs are beneath them (DSS should be as well but it doesn't stop 'us' taking advantage of that in preference of jobs brits are too lazy to do) and we tend to see immigrants filling these positions also. If you feel that immigrants are also a drain on the NHS, etc..., think again, they still have to pay their taxes and NI along with the rest of the population that's working. And while extolling your xenophobic beliefs, created out of ignorance, you may like to spare a thought to those brits who take advantage of the cheap property situation in other countries. The problem lies in mismanagement of illegal immigrants. Swings and roundabouts.

I have seen Mexicans that did not know a lick of english, unload a truck by hand, faster than any lazy American I have ever seen. On the other hand the Mexicans were nasty crapping on the floors and eating products of the shelves of the food warehouse.

Overtime pay rates were invented to try to force employers to create new job slots. Seems like it has achieved it's stated objective. Now the problem is who's takeing those job slots that it creates. If they are not being filled by citizens of the country then who or what is at fault? The governemnt for not preparing it's citizens to compete for the jobs companies would have at this time, or the people for not listening to the projections of what kinds of jobs would provide a living today, while they wer still in school?

Archer, I would suggest you spend some time reading about historical conditions at the time labor unions formed in the United States. There was a profound shortage of qualified people to do the work. Companies didnt realize that if you treat people right, they will stay and work for you. And out of that, labor unions formed to force employers to treat their employers right. The past 10 years, the United States has had a surplus of qualified people. Naturally, the corporate nitwits want to screw the people who work for them to get that extra .00001% profit. The whole purpose for a labor union is based on the fact that corporations do not care for their employees. Sinergy

Lots of immigrants at my company. It's purely coincidence that 'manual labor' can easily be pronounced as a Latin American name, they aren't super-workers. They want to work though, and have a lot more work ethic than many who whine about their jobs being stolen. I get plenty of overtime. Usually, it's the result of somebody in the office deciding to hire on the cheap. With what my O/T and D/T cost them to fix the screw-ups, they'd be better off hiring qualified.

every country complains of "neighboring" immigrants coming to "steal" jobs....same old story it changes...good for the Poles...I am glad all my Polish friends are in London working high paying jobs....this thing with immigrant Poles will happen for a while until Poland resembles the UK and Germany in terms of living standards (they have improved quite a bit already) and then they will move back and yes, some will stay for good. Besides, funny not too many British complain of the Pakistanis or Indians living there, largely assimilated by now....or East Indians or Africans for that matter....maybe that colonial guilt? Poland afterall was never a colonial possesion of the British Crown. What about people from Spain complaining about Biritish people flooding the Costa del Sol? I remember being super surprised that I went to TGI Friday's in Puerto Banus (Marbella) and all the staff was British being in Spain...I didn't see why I had to speak English....not to mention the English style pubs, signs in English only, etc....so every country will experience an influx of certain foreigners...hey its life.

Got to agree MasterKalif. I've no time for those Brits who incessantly complain about migrants, they are inevitably hypocrites. More people are leaving Britain than migrating to Britain if you believe the government (though the government admits to really having no idea of the real figures. Go and figure!) I've heard lefties complain about Polish workers taking British jobs and then defend illegal imigrants! Most of the belly aching about migrants is petty and small minded. If the economy couldn't take in those people they would go elsewhere and Britain despite its belief it is taking more than its fair share of migrants, the figures show it isn't. Anyway, the Poles are there legally because Poland is a member of the EU. If Brits don't like it they should get out of the EU and stop migrating to France and Spain. Yep, people who migrate themselves complain!
